In 2000 Coldplay become a worldwide hit with this song, Yellow, and the melody is really quite beautiful. It mostly chord tones with a couple of nice color tones, 6ths and 7ths circled around the song making it a dynamic piece to play on the ukulele, but one that isn't overly challenging. The highest note in the melody is the E note, meaning you don't have to get to high up the fretboard either, it should be noted that the original key of the song is B, so if you want to match the recording you should put a capo on the 2nd fret of the ukulele.

Will improve

  • The key of A
  • Moving the F, C, A, Aadd9, Cmaj7, G and Dm chord shapes
  • Hammer on
  • Pull off
  • A Major Scale
  • Color Tones
