Today we are going to learn how to play the blues on the Baritone Ukulele. We are going to break down the follow aspects so you have a general understanding of all of the blues. Each of these characteristics need a breakdown and deserve their own study and attention, but to understand how to play the blues you will have to have an understanding of each of these aspects.

All of these can be expanded on, there are so many turnarounds, ascending, descending, contra motion where you have one melody line going down played against another going up, also you can learn which intervals to start your turnaround on so you can compose your own, drone strings, there is a lot more to learn there.   

Fingerpicking as well, the patterns are limitless, you can start to incorporate more melody, syncopation, hammer ons, slides, all kinds of things to make the fingerpicking blues more pronounced.   

Soloing is a never ending study, one that once you you start you will always be on the journey and never really master. From mixing the major and the minor scale, better phrasing, understanding what phrasing is in general, resolution, tension, call and response, the ornamentation, hammer on, pull off, slide, bend and vibrato. There is so much to learn with regards to solo, the best way to do it is by figuring out the key to a blues backing track and just soloing over it with the scale. That is for sure the best way to learn who to feel comfortable improvising.   

Lastly, how to write a blues song. This is just to show you that you only need one rhyme, you repeat it, and then you finish it the third time through. It also is to show you where to put the actual rhyme.
