Bang Bang! Time to learn this melancholy tremolo classic on our Ukulele. With a sparse and haunting rhythm section this song is extremely fun to play and is bound to impress at the next Ukulele club. We will walk you through all the pieces, section by section, so you can play the whole song. The tune has some very interesting harmony mixed with melodic somber lines in the key of F minor as well as some interesting arpeggio that take advantage of the open G string, long slides, pull offs and hammer ons, some really cool stuff.

In the bridge there is an interesting Phrygian style movement that evokes some since of Spanish harmony. It addition there is some serious dissonant extensions happening over the chords as well. This song is just a ton of fun to play. If you want to get it sound like the record you will need to add some tremolo as well. If you want more tutorials from the Kill Bill soundtrack let us know! The soundtrack is full of great songs, all Quentin Tarintino's movies have great soundtracks. Take it slow and make sure you use the tabs to help you get the full song under your fingers and enjoy!

That’s what I’m doing. I’ve etched all the notes into my fret board so it makes it easier

I am having so much fun with this song! I almost have it but not quite the rhythm yet. Can you tell me if there is a strumming patter for the VERSE.I think you can island strum it and then DD pause for the chorus after playing all that intro chord melody part? Also do you play the last section after the 111 twice? thanks!

Tyler Austenfeld

There you go. One way that helped me get it faster was to learn all the notes where the dots were first, then by memorizng those it was easy to fill in the holes. For example, I know the dot on the 5th fret of the A string is D, and the dot on the 7th is E, so it is really easy for me to deduce that the 6th fret is D#/Eb

As far as a strum goes anything slow will work, island would work just fine. The last section, that little extra bridge, you only play through that part once. My pleasure Mandy, happy to hear you are having so much fun.
