Time to take our chords and our scale knowledge to the next step! We are going to break down how to play the A blues scale in the second shape and we are going to break down multiple shapes of the chords we are using as well. The blues scale has 5 shapes and learning them one by one is for sure they way to go. What you do is you can use the multiple shapes to make longer more melodic solo lines that will grab more attention. You don't want to try and tackle all 5 shapes at once, it is better to do it one shape at a time.

It isn't just the scale shapes that you can expand, you can also learn more more chord shapes as well. Every A7 shape is interchangeable, so where you play one A7 shape, you can play a different A7 shape, and interchanging these shapes can be very beneficial in creating movement in your playing. This works with all keys and all chords shapes!
