Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cotton Fields - Ukulele Tutorial with tabs

New Ukulele Tutorials every Wednesday and Saturday Today we are doing another tune from one of my favorite all time bands. For some reason I always end up singing his songs way higher than he does, he has a low voice but a high timbre, it is crazy, love me some John Fogerty. This song was originally written by Lead Belly as well, who is one of the greatest blues singers of all time. We will walk you through the opening riff, the chords, strum pattern, all the pieces that you need to learn the song and then at the end we will put it together with a play-along at the end. So let's just jump in and learn how to play Cotton Fields on the Ukulele, tasty riffs and all! Are you singing the harmony?

Cris Elstro

It doesn't sound like the melody I am used to.

Tyler Austenfeld

That is because I am a terrible singer, dang it. I actually struggled with this one a lot more than I normally do. His voice sounds higher than it is, so I always sing the melody a little high and the sheet music always tells me I am sharp. Dang it.
