I love this band and I love this song. This one was one of my first CDs and I am very pleased to shared this classic song. This song also has one of my favorite chord progressions of all time as well, so tasty. Enjoy laying down some fat riffs in C minor pentatonic with a friend as well.

Say It Ain't So - Weezer - Ukulele Tutorial

New Ukulele Tutorials Every Wednesday and Saturday, Subscribe and Learn! Today we are going to learn how to play "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer on the Ukulele. This song has some really cool chords and a really cool chord progression. The move from the G chord to the Ab chord is one of my all time favorites and it sounds so good. The G chord is "non-diatonic" which means that it is not in the key of Eb. SOOOO tasty my friends, so tasty. Once we got to the bridge it gets even crazier, Weezer does some really cool things in terms of chord progression, their lead singer and song writer is a musical genius for sure. He can hear a song and tell you the key and the chord progression. The chorus is similar to verse but the rhythm changes up just a little bit, showing you how you can take the same chord progression, add slight wrinkle to the strum, and you can create something new out of the same thing! Great, thanks for the reply. I'm going to make a chord chart soon and I'll ask my musician friends too for their unbiased opinions. It will be an interesting experiment nonetheless. :)

Not gonna lie, that “say it ain’t so” you sang at the beginning was the best singing yet! :D I love your variety and content. Adding this to my first street performance! See what happens. Thanks Tyler!!
