Today we are going to learn how to play "Something" by The Beatles on the Ukulele. The song is a jazzy style song with an AABA style chord progression format, something that you would see from songs like "What a Wonderful World" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" one of the little twists that this song has is a nice little key change as well. Of all the songs that are in the AABA I can't think of any other of the top of my head that have a key change that isn't just to the relative minor. The song also has some very cool walk up and walk downs. This is a full tutorial that includes all the walk up and down riffs, all the chords, strum patterns, a full play-along as well as the full melody for the lesson!

Will Improve

  • Borrowed chords

  • Chord tone riffs

  • Voice leading

  • Walking bass lines

  • Key change

  • Melody in C

  • Melody in A
