Today we are going to learn how to take a 12 bar blues in the key of F and transform into a jazz based blues in the key of F. To do this we are going to start in the key of F and strum through a 12 bar, once we have that we are going to modify it so it sounds jazzy. Each of the modifications will be explained in a way that you can also apply all these changes to a 12 bar blues in different key. Another thing to keep in mind with this tutorial is that you don't have to apply all these changes to your 12 bar, you can change just teh 9th bar or the 7th or the 8th or any one that you choose. Soloing over this 12 bar is a little more complicated than just playing the blues scale or the minor pentatonic, there are arpeggios, altered scales, beebop scales and all kinds of different tools to solo over the progression, if that is something that you are interested in learning about let me know!
