Hey there! Its ready! Its stable! Its going to have a public release sometime in the following week once I choose somewhere to host it, or get my own site up.

Changelog (from 2.8)

  • removed everything

  • put everything back in

Bugfixes

  • Yes

  • ???????

more in depth changelog pending, maybe, if I feel like it

For those updating from 2.8 you'll have to fill out settings on yourself and on NPCs again, the structure they're saved in is different as far as I know as long as you installed things correctly there shouldn't be any major issues with updating

all in all, functionality is night and day compared to the version where I couldn't do shit with the engine, read the included documentation on what all was changed in the engine

docs on the SBQ assets and how to use it for add-ons pending, updated NPC and race templates pending, several page long explanation on why some of the engine changes were needed pending

Gameing to the Max

you could just host the public releases here as public posts, heck, you could even just change the previously basic supporter posts to public posts when they go public

Hey, not sure why but nonfatal digestion types don't seem to be working on my end. You can set the pred to it and you still die once your hp drops, doesn't stop at 1 hp. Same if you make yourself immune to fatal on your own prefs.

Epic Sauce

Haven't encountered this myself. Maybe a weird interaction with another mod?

Dreason

Honestly could be, starbound itself is kind of a hodgepodge so I wouldn't doubt if another mod was just being wonky and causing it. Thanks for letting me know it's probably on my end, I'll have to play around and see if I can figure out which one is so Loki can track that another mod isn't compatible

AmberHart

Just installed the mod and I can't even load save files, new or otherwise. Is it from also having SSVM installed? If not, then how do I fix this?

Starsky Darkstripe

You having issues starting the game, or is it with loading saves, because I have SSVM as well and it works fine.

AmberHart

I did a fresh install just to make sure, and I specifically have problems loading saves. I can create them, but trying to load them gives me a stupidly long error.

AmberHart

I have now tried another completely fresh install, and also installed all of the recommended workshop mods through steam. I also launched the game without installing SBQ to ensure that the workshop mods were there before installing SBQ. After installing SBQ using the setup file and ensuring that all files were in place, I launched the game from the win64 folder using the executable. It launched just fine and I was able to make a save and load said save without issue, but I was given several error windows letting me know that the workshop mods were missing. So I tried launching the game through steam to load the workshop mods, and now I can no longer launch the game at all. The Chucklefish animation will play, followed promptly by the game crashing and giving me an error.

question is there a cohesive list of the tennants the sbq guide book has one page and the remaining ones are all blank

LokiVulpix

I'll make a more comprehensive guide on them at some point, they're listed in the readme near where the species are listed, you can also find them listed in the deed itself when cycling through the list with the arrows, any with capital names are likely OCs
