I had been on Crenshaw in the 90's. Obviously it was a very long time ago. But there was a lot familiar in this film; both when it came out and now. There are some works of film/tv/theatre/media that are quite important; so much so that the work itself is kind of beyond like/dislikes. There was much in this film that I definitely didn't enjoy; but I think it was important that the story was told.
