I believe this is the worst rated episode of the entire show lmao. They clearly wanted to do more with this, but it just never took off.

The first of a few attempts at a spin off. I enjoyed the premise, and thought that it could be really cool, but it lacked the thing that makes Supernatural so special, which is the strong familial bond. They tried to replicate it, but without the breathing room that this kind of premise needs, it just didn't work. It came off as rushed and poorly paced. It's kind of like they got so involved in the idea of monsters that they forgot what makes Supernatural work is the hunters and their story. Because they didn't have the time and ability to flesh it out (like what we got in the supernatural pilot), it feels like a cheap copy
