you are literally the only reactor that I've seen to have such a nuanced take on the therapist and I love you for it. most people hate her immediately, not taking into account the fact that she was sent there to do a job and that although she could have been a bit softer and a bit less judgy, in the end her job was to do what was best for Cady. also, she ended up being right in the end to some extent because Gemma was not ready to accept Cady into her life and it took M3GAN going full murder robot for her to finally make concessions. I also really love what you said about Gemma not taking the time for herself after she had just lost her sister; I was literally screaming that at my screen when I first watched the movie haha thanks for another amazing reaction Jess!

I haven’t seen other reactions to this film, but judging by your comment, people are giving the therapist shit? I mean, I can’t judge fully, because like I said in my earlier comment, I thought in her initial scene, she was too harsh in expecting Gemma to instantly be an expert at childrearing. But like you and Jess said, the therapist’s job ultimately is to ascertain what is the best course of action concerning the care and welfare of Cady. And as the M3gan situation progressed, the therapist was right to be concerned about how healthy and/or harmful it was. I’m with you appreciating the take on the therapist that Jess had. I had a similar thing of wishing that Gemma had taken more time for herself to grieve. Of course, I’m horrible at that myself when I’ve lost friends and loved ones, so I can’t criticize too harshly.

don't know if you take suggestions for films but would love to see you react to the 2009 film Orphan
