Chopper is a very love or hate character, and it feels like a big part of the hate comes from people misremembering this ending as him actually murdering the other droid. And I wouldn't be surprised if that brief shot confirming it survived the fall was thrown in late in production, as Filoni and co. realized how weird it would be to have a tone of "Aww, that's our Chopper! (cue laughs and Odd Couple theme)" without it.

“Moff Tarkin sends his regards.”

Yeah, well, my favorite droid is HK-47 who if not as murderous as Chopper is certainly just as bloodthirsty, therefore, I have no problem when Chopper’s a murderous little son of a bitch. Plus, given who my favorite characters are, who am I to judge?

Of course, if we’re talking about presentations of The Imperial March, here’s what John himself described as the best presentation of the march that he has ever seen or heard, if anyone’s interested: https://youtu.be/vsMWVW4xtwI

2023-04-25 22:51:59 Thanks for a great reaction. Am loving your watch through this series. In answer to your question about whether Kanan mentioned who his Jedi Master was, he hasn't said but it was said by the inquisitor when they had the fight back in episode 5 (the one where they go looking for Luminara). It's a woman called Depa Billaba. Her appearences are mainly confined to comics, graphic novels and audio books, but she does make non-speaking appearences in both The Phantom Menace as a Jedi council member & Attack of the Clones, where I think she's part of the Battle that erupt on Geonosis. She is referenced again a few times but I'm not sure if she's mentioned in name. Looking forward to your reaction to the final part of this season.

You briefly saw Kannan's master in Tales of the Jedi, Episode 5 and Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 11. She was Mace Windu's former Padawan.

Oh yeah, my top three droids are Chopper-> R2 -> HK-47. Guess I like them being a bit no-nonsense and chaotic! Interestingly though, there seems to be a lot of fondness for K2-S0, but that droid didn't click with me, and I was rewatching Rogue One again just last week. I'm going to annoy Jess with this one, but the best thing C-3P0 can be, is spare parts for R2-D2! :P

Masterful, like all John Williams Star Wars music. Interestingly though, my favourite piece from him isn't from Star Wars, but the main theme for Superman.

The Superman theme is up there high for me as well. Not quite top ten, but high up there. The movie was just on tv recently, I got sucked into it again. All of John’s music is brilliant. My top three favorites are from Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Outside of those franchises, I love his theme, The Dance of the Witches/Devil’s Dance from The Witches of Eastwick, and there’s his score from John Badham’s Dracula starring Frank Langella which is a massively underrated score.

Superman not quite a top ten for you eh? Oof! :D My very first soundtrack I got on cassette tape (yep I'm that old!) was from Return Of The Jedi (bring back Yub-Nub!!); so I've always adored the Star Wars music under the great man; with Light Of The Force being my favourite piece from the franchise. Indy too is so good, The Map Room, Slave Children's Crusade, and the Raiders theme itself; great stuff. Haven't seen those other films and I like Frank Langella (he's in one of my favourite cult films, The Ninth Gate) too; but yes John Williams was the sound of my childhood in film. ET and Close Encounters as well, wonderful.

Yeah, I do wish the Superman theme was higher as it is so beyond magnificent. Two right above it for me are Luke and Leia from Return of the Jedi and Marion’s Theme from Indiana Jones, which incidentally is my brother’s favorite of John’s themes. I was hooked on John Williams from the moment I got introduced to Star Wars. I’ve collected many a cd of John’s work. One of the first ones I got being a cd of his time with the Boston Pops orchestra. E. T. and Close Encounters are good ones as well, also Schindler’s List. I think John himself has said E. T. is his personal favorite of his work.
