I like to imagine Qui Gon is keeping an eye on all this while waiting for Obi Wan to successfully contact him, and getting increasingly pissed at how many other people easily survive a lightsaber to the gut.

Vader gets not only a hallway scene, but a Force Unleashed scene, thanks to this episode.

That´s the difference between the light and the dark side... the dark side lets you survive a lightsaber to the gut... xD

2023-04-04 22:55:07 Been very much enjoying rewatching this show by watching your reactions (just binged them today!). And I'm glad you're enjoying the show as much as I did. I feel like a lot of people I know were pretty lukewarm -- or even harsh -- about it, but I really loved it, myself! <3 One standout performance for me that I don't see many people talking about is Rupert Friend as the Grand Inquisitor. Having just rewatched the 2005 film version of 'Pride and Prejudice' recently for the billioneth time, contrasting his performance here in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' as the creepy, sing-song-y voiced Grand Inquisitor versus his performance as the dashingly (yet dastardly) handsome Mr Wickham from 'Pride and Prejudice' is SO AMAZING. In fact, I made several jokes back when this show was first airing that as much of a villain as Jane Austen made Wickham in P&P (spoilers?), Mr Wickham has REALLY gone to the dark side as the Grand Inquisitor! LOL

Lucas

Rupert Friend isn't bad as the GI but Jason Isaacs is still the definitive version of him for me. Same with Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka, though Rosario Dawson could definitely get on equal footing after the Ahsoka show.

Saltire

It does because darksiders are frightened of death, whilst Jedi aren't and accept their ends.

Saltire

Yeah Jason Isaacs is great as the GI, though I liked Rupert Friend's take on him too. Even after watching all this series, Clone Wars and the prequels, however, Alec Guinness will always be my Obi-Wan.
