Never have been bothered by clowns all that much. Neither has my brother, come to think of it. A lot of my friends, and some of my brother's friends are because their parents let them see It when they were about six or seven. My parents didn’t let me see It at that age, and I only finally saw It and read the book when I was seventeen. And even if I did see It when I was a little kid, it still probably wouldn’t have gotten to me all that much due to my overwhelming love of Tim Curry. That and I've always been a villains guy. Addressing your one query, yes, it’s called the uncanny valley. Don’t really have too much in the way of phobias myself. Mildly averse to heights. Similarly, I have an aversion to needles, albeit not to the level that your aversion to needles is, Jess, though it’s not too far from it. I'll be honest and say that I might have a mild phobia of dogs, and if I don’t, I'm still uncomfortable when I'm around dogs. I know that’s probably horrifically offensive to you, Jess, considering how much you love dogs. I'm not happy about it myself. I love cats. Dogs just make me uncomfortable when I'm around them. Don't know why. Might have something to do with how introverted I am, and/or I'm on the spectrum which I've read can be a factor. I know the feeling is not mutual as dogs seem to love me. They flock right toward me, thus making me on edge. Again, I'm sorry, Jess, if you hate me for saying any of that. Concerning the thing of drawing one’s greatest fears, I'd have said, “Draw my greatest fears. And just how the hell do I draw existential dread, emotional and mental trauma, and crippling anxiety, exactly?” I loved how you got invested in Dean and the slinky. This was a fun reaction, Jess, thanks.

Uh, well, if I'm being honest, I think the aversion to snakes that Jess has rubbed off on me some, albeit to a lesser extent. If you’d have asked me ten years ago, I'd have said I have no real aversion to snakes. Since I’ve come to know Jess, I find that I can’t look at a snake without jumping, even if it’s only in a film or show. As I say, I think her aversion to snakes rubbed off on me some, maybe. Who knows? I don’t know. That's my best guess anyway.
