Next week... guys.... next week :D Next week Jess will react to one of my favorite episodes of Supernatural and I´m sooooo hyped.... oh, boy... Yesterday I rewatched Jess' reaction to Bobbys introduction episode as a preperation

DieWinterkirsche

Yeah... it´s a good thing! ^^ This was the last episode before the midseason break, wasn´t it? We had to wait sooo long for the next episode! Her reaction and the realization at the end of this episode was priceless! But there is still hope that everything is ok - which reminds me soooo damn much of me when I watched it! This is such a cruel cliffhanger!

Start by addressing the opening statements you made about becoming nervous as to what’s going to happen. You said that and I was instantly filled with a dread colder than Hoth. That turducken thing again provides an occasion where I'm glad that I'm as picky of an eater as I am. The thing looks like it’d be texture overload and would drive me up a wall. It's like lasagna which I should realistically love. The textures overwhelm each other and makes it so I can’t enjoy it. Plus, I hate turkey. I had a similar thought that Dean’s behavior was not necessarily out of character, though it did seem odd even for him. You mentioned how the one creature looked like a monster in something else you’re currently watching. I had the same thought. The scenes that Sam and Dean have with Bobby were great. The one with Sam got me some, particularly Bobby’s line, “You always were one deep little son of a bitch.” I heard that, and said, “Jesus. That sounds like my dad.” I get what you meant by understanding how fed-up Dean is. In the beginning of the episode when Bobby tells Dean not to focus to much on the grander scheme, it recalled a line from Men in Black, “There's ALWAYS an alien battle cruiser, or a Corellian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that's about to wipe out life on this miserable little planet. The only way these people get on with their happy lives is that they do. Not. KNOW about it.” Dean having gone through what he’s gone through, it’s perfectly understandable why he’s as emotionally exhausted as he is. And like you say, Bobby sees Dean saying what he says and acting the way he does, and it makes him scared. There was no reason to apologize for your “That’s what he said.” joke because I myself devolved into a fit of giggles over the news headline reading “The Rise of Dick.” Yeah, I'll second your statement of we do not need to delve into the enigmatic uncertainty of the precise mechanics of the bibbing. All in all, a good episode. Except for the fact of what happened at the end. Other than that unfortunate scene, everything was great. Concerning the final scene, I KNEW your reaction would be something like that. Now, when you started saying things like, “We’re not doing this bullshit! Absolutely not! Bobby’s going to be fine. He took a nap.” I said in response to all of it, “That’s the spirit, Jess!” I am not going to refute your statements about Bobby because you are absolutely correct. Bobby is the best character on this show. I stand by your assertion of that fact, Jess.

I'm quite grateful that knowing Jim Beaver so well as Bobby let me remember his brief early role in Justified for when he came back in a big way years later.

I was worried for you when we got here. I knew this cliffhanger was gonna be rough. Bobby is amazing. We all need our wonderfully grumpy dad to stick around!
