By this point, a major thing I was looking forward to was “What silly outfit are they going to make Jenna Ortega keep a straight face in this episode?

Yes, the show proves that it is continuously creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky, and altogether ooky. When watching it, I held a similar thought as you did in that basically everyone seemed plausible as a villain in this, and I was suspicious of everyone, Enid and Eugene notwithstanding, of course, as they are delightful. I brought up the last episode about Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, and I bring it up again in that this show has a similar feel of it taking place in a rather isolated and insular setting, where it appears that everyone has something to hide. I also highly recommend Sleepy Hollow on the off chance that you haven’t seen it as it is wonderfully macabre and fantastic. As you note, it is great how we see Wednesday slowly grow closer to one or two people. The whole pilgrim world thing had me in stitches and took me back to Addams Family Values. The visions were striking. Loved when Thing set fire to the statue, and Wednesday performing a killer rendition of Vivaldi’s Winter on the Cello. You saying “Work!” and you dancing along to it was the most delightful part of the reaction, Jess. Yeah, your heart does hurt a little with Enid inadvertently getting stood up. It was great seeing the confrontation between Wednesday and Principal Weems. And when Wednesday said, “Maybe for you. But it's either they write our story, or we do. You can't have it both ways.” I found myself saying in response, “Only a Sith deals in absolutes. ...I’m SO PROUD of you, Wednesday!!!” Yeah, it does feel like Principal Weems is quite the ambitious sort. And judging by her scene of tearing the page of Morticia out of the book, it would seem to be motivated by envy of being under Morticia’s shadow, possibly. To address your comments on how interesting it is that Wednesday is interested in exposing the truth and righting the wrongs, despite the fact that Wednesday has a cold, shriveled up, blackened heart. As someone who likewise has a cold, shriveled up, blackened heart, I can attest to the fact that even cold, shriveled up, blackened hearts can beat and have a pulse. Besides which, it does say how atrocious something is when Wednesday is appalled by it, and it is beyond the pale, even by her standards. Of course, as you posited, her sleuthing began largely to figure out her part in all of it, and now, it’s evolved to what it is. I am loving that you are most enjoying the show, Jess. I enjoyed your reaction, and I look forward to what’s to come.

I of course won't spoil any actual reveals, but at this point my suspicion was firmly on Enid, simply because she would be the biggest "You didn't see this coming, huh?" twist.
