Thank you for a wonderful reaction. You're doing really well on the names in this! Plus I love your analogy with this to The Thing! I guess it is a kind of Plant Thing! Tom Baker absolutely shared your sentiments when he reacted to a clip of this, saying that he had a lot of personal sympathies to the Villian in the story and adding that if people behaved as well as plants, he'd get along with everyone so much better lol! I think Tom Baker really exemplieifed the character of The Doctor in terms of not being human - always thinking of the wider picture and often at the expense of the feelings of the characters. "SCORBY!" This is one of my favorite stories. It's tense and terrifying, has two brilliant villains, wonderful characterizations, and razor-sharp writing for The Doctor that Tom Baker effortlessly sells. For me, it's absolutely perfect.

Pyramids of Mars a hard act to follow, Brain was great then this to keep standard high. This whole season is awesome. forgot another one but this and Pyramids up there with Genesis of the Daleks as a classic.
