This story had to be completely rewritten after it was selected as the season's designated budget slash. It was originally a robot servant who brought Morbius back, which was changed to a human mad scientist. Terrence Dicks was furious at how this completely wrecked his intention for the robot making a terrible body because it can't understand emotion and beauty, and asked that his name be taken off. So he was credited under the deliberately insulting pseudonym Robin Bland, which he admitted was hilarious.
