This episode I got strong vibes of The Haunting, more specifically the 1963 film adaptation and the ambiguous nature of the film. I similarly felt like there was a shade or two that was along the lines of The Shining. You can definitely make a case of is the house haunted or is it all in their head. And even if one chooses to ascribe to the view of the latter option, it recalls the great line from Harry Potter, “Of course, it's happening inside your head. Why should that mean that it's not real?” Like a lot of things where a definite answer is not given, I choose to not pick one interpretation over another as I prefer to keep it ambiguous. In terms of the six episodes, I wholeheartedly agree with you that the Alpha episode was the gold-standard of the bunch. Second favorite was the Parker Poesy Heaven-Sent episode, followed by this one, the episode prior to this one, the first of the season, and the one with Anthony Edwards ends up being last, though it was still enjoyable. I most certainly enjoyed sharing the journey of Tales of the Walking Dead with you. I haven’t heard if there will be a second season. I hope there will be because I would love to continue sharing a journey through this show with you. And if there is not a second season... Well then, I’m just grateful to have had the pleasure to share this season and these episodes with you, most especially the Alpha episode was a real treasure to share with you, Jess. I’m looking forward to and getting ready to share the final episodes of The Walking Dead with you. I’ve recently purchased two Walking Dead t-shirts that arrived last week. I’ve also purchased an Alpha funko pop which should be arriving in the mail if not today within the week. I sympathize and empathize with you on it being somewhat rotten timing of your vacation coinciding with the premiere of the final episode of The Walking Dead. It’s like my vacation back in July and how it coincided with the airing of the final episodes of Better Call Saul. Thank you again for this most enjoyable journey through Tales of the Walking Dead, it was truly so much fun.
