Yeah, this was I would say a solid series opener. Quite lighthearted in tone, which I assume will be prevalent throughout the series. I got Fleabag vibes with the breaking of the fourth wall moments. The relationship between Jen and Bruce was nice and is a very accurate depiction of what a relationship one would have with a cousin. A strength of this is as you noted that both Bruce and Jen each had valid arguments about how best to proceed with Jen and her newfound powers. After Jen’s small speech about as a woman she’s had to control anger and emotions far more than Bruce ever has, I said, “I take your point, but there is now a new level to this with the Hulk powers that Bruce is reasonably concerned about.” Likewise, when Jen unloads the harsh truths onto Bruce and what he did to deal with being the Hulk, I said, “Well, I mean, when you put it like that, it does sound completely miserable.” Had a feeling you’d get a kick out of the ladies helping Jen out in the ladies' room. I thought the name for Hulk Endgame onwards was Professor Hulk. Smart Hulk doesn’t quite sound as impressive, but whatever. It feels like with shows that my brain keeps getting hung up on the most mundane things every now and again. For instance, when Jen turns into She-Hulk, I said, “Man. That is some durable clothing Jen is wearing.” Thus, when Bruce brings up the specialty wardrobe, I said, “Ok, they are explaining that. Good, because otherwise that would have legitimately driven me up a fucking wall.” Or when Bruce cooks Jen breakfast, I ended up saying, “Jesus Christ, those are tiny pancakes.” And like you, I had the reaction to Bruce’s glasses being broken, particularly because I suspect that those weren’t cheap. I’m with you and Bruce when Jen brought up Bing Bong. I even said, “Please stop talking about Bing Bong, because I'll have a complete emotional breakdown if you don’t! I am dead serious!” Like I said, a solid start. I hope we get a prominent focus on the legal side of this. In terms of tone going forward, I'd be most agreeable in continuing the lightheartedness, particularly since we have the legal aspect of this show, it would likely feel like My Cousin Vinny, which I'd be fully on-board with. In any case, I look forward to continuing this show.
