This was quite an enjoyable episode. In terms of cast, Terry Crews is always great. My brother and I are both fond of his work. Great to see him in this. Likewise, Olivia Munn was quite good as Evie in this as well. I’m in agreement with you on Joe’s set-up would be my ideal set-up during the apocalypse as well. I mean, I’d have a cat myself, but otherwise, Joe’s set-up would be what I'd strive for. That hurt with Gilly, and I knew you wouldn’t like that scene, and I also expressed frustration over the show opening with such a scene. As you say a highlight of this was the opposites attract type plot with Joe and Evie being diametrically contrasting personalities brought together and despite their differences, they ultimately bond. The scenes with Sandra were intense. I got suspicious around when Sandra gave Joe the brownie, and thought, “Far be it for me to put a damper on what appears to be a sweet situation, I’m sensing the fact that this lady is either going through some serious personal issues, and/or the cheese has slid off her cracker.” Her make-up was certainly a look, and I said, “So, we have, what appears to be a Misery-type situation, with this lady going for kind of a Baby Jane vibe with the make-up.” Your reaction to Joe throwing the cleaver into Sandra’s chest was about the same as mine. I relate strongly to everything you said in the post-episode thoughts about dealing with anxiety. I’ve dealt with anxiety many a times in my life, and there are times when I still struggle with it. Really does feel like a never-ending struggle sometimes. I greatly enjoyed your reaction to this episode, Jess. I would watch your reaction to the next episode, but unfortunately, I don’t have AMC+, nor do I have access to it, so I'll have to wait until next week. Something to look forward to.
