You're so right that more episodes would have given us some breathing room, but the fact this was filmed at the height of Covid, under pretty strict restrictions, is beyond impressive. By the way, I live in Cardiff and at the time was working near to the same street where the Weeping Angel got Claire in episode 1. Imagine my terror of walking home one night to see an angel standing in the middle of the street!

I really enjoyed this season and have even rewatched all of the episodes--some more than twice. I haven't done that with too many of Jodie's era. Her era has gotten a lot better and I feel like she's embodying her Doctor well now. And of course, it's just when she's going to go, which is kind of frustrating. But I hope you'll find the NYE's special as enjoyable as I did. And the next special looks promising, too.

This series was originally 10 episodes, then 8, then some John Barrowman stuff happened (which he was originally in a Torchwood 1800's episode as a novel synopsis leaked early), ultimately resulting in a 6 episode series.
