It's pretty eerie watching this movie now, as years later Random Task's actor Joe Son was discovered to be a rapist and murderer. I shudder to imagine what Elizabeth Hurley in particular went through upon finding out, having been almost nude in front of him during filming.

This is one of those films that I liked a lot when I was young, but when I revisited it as an adult discovered that it's aged pretty horribly. Dr. Evil is still the best part of the series. The character he is spoofing is James Bond's archenemy Ernst Stavro Blofeld, more specifically as portrayed by Donald Pleasence in You Only Live Twice. You saw the character as portrayed by Telly Savalas in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. There really is no need to apologize for being sick during the video, I've done theatre work so I'm fully aware of the mentality of the show must go on. If it gets to the point you really do need to take time off to rest, recover and recuperate please do so, I will not be upset or offended.

I swear the version you reacted to was an edited-down version of the version i saw. The version i saw had a whole lot of other scenes, it had a scene where Austin hypnotized a virtucon goon, there were also a couple of scenes where after Austin kills an anonymous henchman, it cuts to friends and family of said henchman receiving the news that they died, and mourning them. one particular case featuring an actual Bond girl, it turns out.
