You may be surprised to learn, Jess, that you just watched an Oscar winning film! This won the 1993 Academy Award for Best Animated Short. This was never a series due to the length of time it took to make each one, but there were 4 shorts produced and one full-length movie made. They were all huge international hits and made Aardman Animation one of the best-loved animation studios in the world!

Cracking cheese,Gromit! This has become a British staple,and is repeated on TV every Christmas. A piece of Who-related trivia: it was co-written by Bob Baker,who also created K9 and wrote many,many Classic Who stories.

I'm not sure they are making more as Peter Salis died a few years back sadly but the wrong trousers is widely regarded as the best of the..I wanna say 4?? Including Curse Of The Ware-Rabbit movie. Stop motion filming is a lost art since the overuse of CGI. Nick Parks work is incredible and as a Brit I'm immensely proud of him. Gromit is the real star of these & very similar to Penny in "Inspector Gadget" when you think about it.
