Oooo - difficult - Battle of the Blackwater was the most satisfying - seeing Tyrion exceed everyone's expectations, seeing Jofrey panic and flee, seeing the Hound give up on the Lanisters, seeing Tywin ride in... But the battle of the Bastards was the best filmed battle I've ever seen in a TV show (and movies, possibly excepting the opening of Gladiator). That single side-on shot of Snow's cavalry charging was beautiful, and the next, slow-mo shot of Jon on his own preparing to meet the oncoming Bolton cavalry was amazing, and it still wows me everytime I remember that wasn't CGI. I think they may have overdone it with the literal mountains of dead - but otherwise it was an epic piece of film making. In terms of the plot, less satisfying than Blackwater for me. Despite being eaten by his own starving dogs, you've got to say that Ramsey won that battle on points by a big margin, and Snow (who admittedly was at a massive disadvantage) got played big time. He's got everything to owe his sister for.

It was Hardhome or Battle of the Bastards for me...yet I agree Blackwater was very satisfying too.
