((Y/N)'s POV) age: 6

Summer vacation just started and mommy said that we were going to spend the first-week camping. She came up with the idea after having a fight with grandpa about being a full-grown adult and she calls me her big boy that can make my own choices... It's just a lot of the family tells me what bad choices can do and are happy for most that I make. When we made it deep into some woods at a campsite, mommy just parked the car and trailer and then had me get most of the things ready. After that, she turned on some loud music and got what she calls her 'party juice in a can' out then let me go out to do what I like.

(Y/N)-I thought uncle Brandon said not to get any more of those.

Mom-Uncle Brandon doesn't get to tell me how to spend my money. Go play or... you're grounded in the trailer or something. Also, bring some firewood on your way back.

I just left the camp with my phone, but there was no internet out here to do anything except take pictures. I just walked around to see if I can find a place to swim or something, like a lake or small river. Soon, I saw something kind of cool... It was a giant mushroom that was taller than me and another as tall as my mom.

(Y/N)-Woah. *whisper*

I went up to them and poked them to see if they were real and they felt pretty real. I tried to go find more or something like it to take pictures of. I think this might be a giant place like they told us in class. I thought they were just for little kids to not run around and other stories that are made up like Alice In Wonderland and stuff. The deeper I got, I saw bigger trees, leaves, and stuff, until they were all big.

(Y/N)-Woah, grandpa was right. If you listen in school, it pays off.

I took pictures until my phone was on 15%, so I wanted to turn back. Just as I was going to head back to camp, I felt lost, but then thought about using the pictures I took to help me. I just have to go backward, but while I looked at my phone I heard a big thud on the ground that made me fall backward and drop my phone. I looked to see a big acorn then I saw I dropped my phone in the mud.

(Y/N)-No!... Please turn on, please turn on!

I grabbed my phone and the screen was off with all the mud on and in it. This was all I had to get back to camp, but I had to try... I took a picture of a flower last, so I just need to find the flower... There were a couple of flower patches and it was hard to tell which way I came from because I didn't pay attention.

(Y/N)-Um... Maybe... That way!

(Timeskip 2 Hours)

I saw none of this stuff before and I was getting scared and crying a little. The sun was gonna go down eventually and I am already getting cold. While I was walking, I tripped again and fell into the dirt... I couldn't take it anymore, so I curled up against a tree to not get even more lost.

(Y/N)-MOMMY!!!... MOM!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?! *echo*

((M/N)'s POV)

I was watching a bad movie in the trailer while being drunk and laughing my ass off. I looked at the time and it said 6:12 PM... That reminds me of something.

(M/N)-(Y/N) should be back with firewood soon... Hamburgers sound great.

I just turned on the speakers outside again and then noticed that there was no firewood or sign of my son.

(M/N)-Ugh, fine. I'll get the firewood myself... Don't expect dessert tonight.

(Naomi's POV)

My daughter and I were out for a hike while talking about her last week at school and her final project. She has to find 5 different plants to study online with help from her book. I took a trial deeper in the woods to sightsee while she stayed with her friends and Vanessa. While I was walking and enjoying the view, that ended when I heard something in the distance.

???-Mommy!... Mom! Where are you?! *in the distance*

It sounded like a young child was lost. I headed for the source of the noise, but the echo was gone and I need him to speak again.

Naomi-Hello?! Where are you?!

They didn't answer, but soon I started to hear crying and saw where it came from, but no sign of the child. I got closer and closer until I looked down and saw a poor tiny human curled up and crying next to a tree.

<figure></figure>

I nearly gasped at the sight of the poor thing. He looked dirty and scared, and it looks like his mother was nowhere nearby. He didn't even seem to notice me since he was crying into himself so hard. Humans hardly come here, let alone a child coming alone is way too dangerous because of these awful laws in place. He is lucky that someone nice found him or he would get tormented or even killed. I knelt down to the poor boy and I think he noticed my shadow. He looked up at me and looked terrified.

???-AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

He got up and tried to run, but when he got over the root of the try, I saw a spike ball and he tripped.

Naomi-No, stop!

It was too late, he fell on top of it, but he blocked it with his arms and yelled in pain. He rolled to the side and stuck into his arm and he was bleeding. I hurried to scoop him up and pulled the spiked ball off of him.

???-P-PUT ME DOWN!!! MOMMY!!! *SOBBING*

I cupped the poor thing in my hands and his arm was bleeding. I just put him against me and reached into my pocket for some small wipes to clean his arm.

((Y/N)'s POV)

I tried to wiggle out of this real giant's hand, but she had me against her chest. My arm really hurt and I could not stop screaming or hold my eyes open. I felt her hold me out and then wiped my arm with something that smelled like the doctor's office. It stung and it made me scream again.

???-*Shh* *shh* *shhhhhh* I know it hurts. ~

Next, she wrapped my arm with something and then rubbed my head until I opened my eyes and she felt so warm... I slowly started to stop crying, but tears were still coming out.

<figure></figure>

???-My goodness, you're freezing and dirty. Here. ~

She put me on her chest again and she just felt so warm when I was so cold. She tapped my back with one finger and I didn't even know what to do anymore. She waited until I completely stopped crying.

???-There, much better... What are you doing all the way out here in giant territory? Where is your mother? ~

(Y/N)-I-I... I don't know. *sniffle*

???-You poor thing. You're lost and in really bad shape. You need to get all that mud and dirt off you that's making you cold before you get sick. ~

(Naomi's POV)

I need to find his mother, but I can't give her baby back like this. He needs a bath and his clothes cleaned or he'll be having a number of problems before he could make it home. I just took a small cloth handkerchief out and used it as a blanket for him that can keep him warm. I want to look for his mother. She must be worried sick, but he needs to be taken care of now... What do I do?

Emma-Mommy!

I turned to see my daughter Emma walking to me with the plants she needed then I had an idea.

<figure></figure>

She looked at what I was holding then I bent down to her level, but kept the little human hidden from her for now.

Emma-Did you find a plant too?

Naomi-Emma, sweetie. Mommy has a very important job for you and you need to be delicate.

Emma-What is it?

I slowly unwrapped the human a little and she stared at him in awe while he still looked scared of us, like any other lost child would.

<figure></figure>

Naomi-Mommy needs you to go straight home and don't show him to anyone. I'm going to look for his mommy and bring her back with me before I take them back home Ok?

Emma-... Ok.

She put her plants in her bag before she held out her hands. I wrapped the boy back up and gave his shivering body to my daughter. She is very gentle for her age and very compassionate, so I trust her. I took my phone out and texted Vannessa and told her Emma got her plants and is heading home while I take care of something. When Emma left, I turned and knew about a few areas humans like to visit near here.

Naomi's mind-Alright, where are you?

(Emma's POV)

I never saw a human before and they were like a super tiny little boy... He looked adorable! My house is only a few blocks away from here. I'm 9, but mommy says I am very responsible, but I just like to help others that need it. When I made it home, I remember how dirty he looked, but this was different than washing a dirty and hurt bird in the sink. I just put the cloth napkin down in the living room and opened it up a little to see the little human... I think I even squealed a little on accident.

<figure></figure>

Emma-Hi there... I'm Emma. What's your name?

???-... (Y/N).

He looked scared still, but maybe some candy we have will cheer him up. I can also try to wipe some of the dirt off him until mommy comes back. She'll know what to do to get him clean the right way. After I gave him some candy, I got a wet washcloth and wiped him a little. His clothes still looked dirty, but he looked better.

Emma-How about some cartoons or a board game until my mommy comes back with your mommy?

(Timeskip 30 Minutes)

(Naomi's POV)

After a while of searching for the mother of that boy, I started to hear music with a lot of cuss words in it. I hated that kind of music, but it was the only lead I had... I just hope that it's not who I think it might be. When I made my way threw the small part of the forest, I saw a car and trailer next to a campsite and there were beer cans all over the ground. A woman came out of the trailer looking drunk and dizzy with a lighter.

<figure></figure>

I stepped on her campsite and that got her attention, but instead of getting scared, she just looked at me with a confused look.

Naomi-Excuse me, but I found a little boy with brown hair who looked around 6 or 7 years old.

Woman-Eh... That's where *hic* (Y/N) went? Little *hic* *hic* bastard was supposed to bring firewood hours ago!

I froze a bit when she called her own son such an awful name.

Naomi-... Excuse me?

Woman-Where is he?

I took one more look around this came and it looks like a bunch of irresponsible teenagers partied here.

Naomi-Are you his mother?

Woman-*Hic* So what if I am?

Naomi-Did you know that there is a giant territory not too far from here and while you were drinking, your little boy was out there alone?!... Crying for you!

Woman-Ugh, you sound like my dad and brother. What do 'you' know about being a mom?... Huh?... Just bring him here... and a 'big' bottle of vodka... About as big as your 'fucking' fake mother ego.

I could not believe what I was hearing from someone that should be caring for a child. With her attitude and actions, there is no way I would leave any child in her care. Rather if they are mine or not...

Naomi-... No. I'm not bringing him here.

Woman-Yes you fucking will! *hic* I can report you for kidnapping!

Naomi-You can,... but not in giant territory. Laws are different there. Such as anyone could have come along and crushed (Y/N) in public without getting in legal trouble! He became property to claim when he crossed the border!

Woman-Spare me the lecture! You-!

Naomi-And you will not 'ever' be caring for him again! Do you understand me?!

Woman-Don't talk to me like I'm a fucking child! I am 24 years-!

I stomped my foot next to her and that made her stop her adult-child ranting. If she wants to act like a child, I will treat her like one, and that starts with this. I picked her up then put her on top of a tree and it made her scream.

Woman-You crazy Godzilla Bitch! Get me down!

Naomi-You can stay there until the rangers find you. Maybe now you can understand how scared your son was.

She tried climbing down, but after I put her back 3 times, I tried something different. I bent her over to give her a wedge and used the stretched hole to hang her on a branch and slide her all the way back. I tightened her belt to make sure she stays, so all she could do now was hold a breach to make sure she doesn't fall. I found a tiny flare gun on the table and it was tricky, but I got a flare-up to let rangers find her. Before I left, I bent down and made her look me in the eye.

Naomi-Don't you ever come near (Y/N) again. Do you understand me?

Woman-Get! Me. DOWN!!!

I left her hanging there when I left to go home. I just have to break the news to (Y/N) gently about his mother not coming back. I will be honest about it... At least I don't have to worry about getting into legal trouble.

(Timeskip 30 Minutes)

I made it home and saw my little girl playing a little game of checkers with (Y/N). I don't want her around when I break the bad news and see him cry.

<figure></figure><figure></figure>

(Emma's POV)

We were in the middle of the game and when I took my turn, I turned to see my mom. She didn't have (Y/N)'s mom with her and looked a little sad.

<figure></figure>

Emma-You didn't find her?

Mom-... Sweetie, can you go get a towel warmed up for (Y/N)? I need to talk to him during his bath.

Emma-Um... Ok.

I left to go get a towel warmed up by putting it in the drying while my mom picked (Y/N) up and took him to the bathroom. I only heard her turn on the sink before she closed the door. I couldn't hear her that much anymore, but I know she has this under control. I just went to my room and played with my baby dolls until she needs me again. I couldn't do my project for class right now, but I have a few days... Also, I made sure to get the easy plants to know about, so I get an easy A.

Emma's mind-I wonder where his mom is.

When I left my room to get water, I heard crying from the bathroom and wondered what happened.

((Y/N)'s POV)

The giant lady told me her name was Naomi and told me what happened when she found my mommy. I tried to tell her that grandpa and my uncle make her do things and she lets me do what I want to have fun. She didn't care and said that I could not go back to her as nicely as she could, but I did not want to stay here!

(Y/N)-I wanna go home! You can't keep me here! *sobbing*

Naomi-*Shhhh* I know this is scary, but she... just couldn't handle being a parent. I'm sure even she will understand that this is for the best. ~

I tried to get out of this sink to get my clothes and leave, but I kept on slipping back down and she just washed me and my clothes with soap and water. When she was done, she called Emma to get the towel and she gave it to her through the door. When she picked me up, the towel felt so warm, but I didn't care. I tried to get out while screaming for someone to come in and help me get out of her.

(Y/N)-Put me down! Put me down! Put me down!

(Naomi's POV)

I did my best to comfort the poor baby and keep him from hurting himself by falling off of me. He has every right to be scared and mad. I just told him that I found his mother and that she was too irresponsible to care for him, so he will not go back to her. I don't regret my choice, but I just wish he would settle down even a little. He was so small and everything is just so big and dangerous for him right now. Even a giant baby is safer than he would be here, so I had to think of something when he lashes out like this... I quickly thought of something and went to my daughter's room with (Y/N) still in a towel since his clothes need to go in the washer and then the dryer.

<figure></figure>

Naomi-Here honey. Make sure he stays in his towel. I'm sorry about his crying but just bear with it for now. Mommy needs to get a few things ready. I'll tell you about a few things later, but make sure he doesn't do anything to hurt himself.

(Emma's POV)

Mommy gave (Y/N) to me and he was screaming and crying to try and get out of his towel when she left my room. I tried to hold him as best as I could, but he didn't want to be held. I thought out my doll furniture like the rocking crib that he could fit in and it'll be like a full-sized bed for him.

Emma-Hey, it's ok. We're just trying to help? ~

His cheeks got a little pink when I put him in the pink rocking crib for my dolls, but that didn't make him stop screaming and crying to try and get free. He did look like a baby in there, but I couldn't laugh when he looked so upset... Even if it did look cute. I just slowly rocked him and then saw mommy walk across my door with pieces of the baby crib we keep in the garage.

Emma's mind-... Is he... staying here?
