(Toriel's POV)

I had a fun time with my friend, telling jokes, and... making promises, but I just wanted to read some of my books... again. This is just until my child wakes up and I can spend some time with him and get to know him. This feeling of being a mother again eased my heart after being alone with hardly anyone to talk to for so long. When I heard the door open from down the hall, I waited for my child to walk in here after I made the fire in the place bigger, hoping the noise would get his attention. When he did come in, he looked so cute with his cute little eyes and he had a bit of whipped cream on his upper lip.

Toriel-Honey, you have a little whip cream on you. ~

I pointed to my upper lip and he licked his lips clean and I giggled. Then I realized something. Climbing a mountain, falling down, and being attacked has left him all dirty and sweaty. He is in need of a bath now, so I got up and went up to him. He backed up a little, but I showed no sign of slowing down when I gently took his hand.

Toriel-Come child, you need a bath and those clothes washed.

(Y/N)-Um... Where's your bathroom?

Toriel-I do not have one here, I'm afraid. but we do have very nice bathhouses nearby.

(Y/N)-Y-You have a whole house for one bath?

Toriel-*Giggles* Not exactly. It's just where many monsters bathe together. Think of it like... a really big bath, the size of a pool. Regardless, you need one.

He looked skittish about this, but I picked him up and went to get get some towels for us before I took him with me outside of my house. The Ruin's city is not very populated as it was when it was first made, but it is still populated with Froggits and such. When we made it to the bathhouse, I started to think about my other son's first bath here. He was reluctant and stubborn to get in at first, but in time he got used to it, and (Y/N) will have to do the same. When we got undressed and in the water, he got lucky since it was just us here for now.

(Y/N)-U-Um, I thought I was getting in alone!

Toriel-No need to be shy. I do this every day with many other monsters... Let's start with your hair.

(Timeskip)

((Y/N)'s POV)

I kept my eyes closed the whole time I was in that bath and when we finally got out, she just got to work on washing our clothes. I just sat on a bench, in a towel while others walked by to go in, but it was only 3 flying monsters and they screamed a little before they ran through.

Toriel-Don't feel bad. They are just Whisums. They are naturally very shy.

When she finally cleaned and dried our clothes with her fire, we got dressed and left. I really don't want to do that again, so I need to get out of here soon. I know she is trying to be nice, but I don't want to hurt her feelings. She carried me back to her house, even when I said I could walk, but she still didn't put me down until we got back to her house.

Toriel-I need to take care of a few things. I have toys in your room that you can play with. Be a good boy for mommy. ~

(Y/N)'s mind-Mommy?

She gave me a quick hug before she left the house with a basket in her arms, but I couldn't wait anymore. This is getting too weird.

(Y/N)-Toriel, wait!

She turned back to look at me with a small smile on her face.

Toriel-Hm, what is it?... Do you want me to stay with you?

(Y/N)-A-Actually, I was wondering... When am I going home?

(No POV)

That small smile on Toriel's face disappeared the moment (Y/N) said that and looked down to fidget his fingers shyly. Still not wanting to hurt her feeling, but he already did that and then some... It didn't stop there.

(Y/N)-My mommy is probably worried about me and I need to go home... Can you show me the way out of here?

Toriel-... How about another slice of pie before we talk about that?

(Y/N) looked surprised by that and Toriel walked back into the house and picked him up. She decided to get food for the house later. (Y/N) was taken to the table and placed in a chair while Toriel went to the kitchen and looked at the pie for a moment.

(Toriel's POV)

(Flashback Start)

(Y/N)-My mommy is probably worried about me and I need to go home... Can you show me the way out of here?

(Flashback End)

His 'human mommy'... What's so special about her? If she was so great then why is he here in the first place?! She failed to watch over him and that means she failed as a parent! It was like the incident all over again. They talk about one good human female and...

Toriel's mind-IT'S LIKE THEY ARE TAKING EVERYTHING AWAY FROM ME AGAIN!!!

I reached into the fridge and pulled out the whipped cream before I went into a cabinet and got something out to mix in the whipped cream

Toriel's mind-Nobody is taking my child away from me... Not even themselves.

((Y/N)'s POV)

I just sat at the table and I think she has bad news or something, but I just hope I can still go home. When she came back in, this time she had a small smile on her face again and gave me another slice of pie.

I used the fork to spread the whip cream on top of the pie before I took a bit and Toriel moved a chair next to me. She put her hand on my head and rubbed my hair with her thumb.

Toriel-Child... What I am about to say is only because I want what is best for you... Leaving is very dangerous, but if it makes you happy... Then I will help you.

(Y/N)-Really? Th-Thank you... When can we go?

Toriel-In a little while, but why don't you finish your pie and go wait in your room for me?

I did what she said to be good for her since she was helping me. I just looked around the room when I turned the light on. I opened the toy chest and the toys looked a little old, so I just closed the chest and looked inside the closet thingy and just saw shirts, pants, and small bras in there... Almost like what that kid wore in my dream... Actually, the shirts looked exactly like him.

(Y/N)-What the? *whisper*

Maybe I saw them before and didn't know or something. After a while of looking around the room, I started to feel a little sick and dizzy and fell on the floor. Soon, the door opened and Toriel came in.

Toriel-*Gasp* What happened?!

She ran to me to pick me up and put me on the bed to let me rest. I was tucked into bed and other the sick feeling went away, but now I just felt so weak and tired.

Toriel-You poor thing. You are in no condition to travel anywhere. Maybe you should rest here for a while. ~

She gave me a kiss and lied next to me in bed to hold me close to her. When I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, I felt her kiss my cheek before I fell asleep.

Toriel-Sweet dreams... My child. ~

(Timeskip)

I woke up again to see Toriel smiling down at me and I sat up a little feeling much better.

Toriel-Good morning sweetie. I think I overdid it a bit.

(Y/N)-Huh?... How long was a sleeping?

Toriel-A little over a day.

When she said that, I knew she had to be joking, so I just got out of bed and stretched a little. I tried to go open the door, but it was looked and the keyhole was inside the room now... I felt kind of nervous then Toriel placed her hands on my shoulders and pulled me away from the door a little.

Toriel-Now, now my child. No need to be afraid. This is for your own good.

(Y/N)'s mind-Why does she keep on saying 'my child'? She's not my mom.

She picked me up and then pulled out a key to unlock the door and open it before she put me back on the bed and made me look at her.

Toriel-I'm sorry for this underhanded trick, but I need to keep you safe. I just know the others would not understand just how precious you are. I promise we can leave someday soon, but... That day will not be today. Do not worry though my child... I will be the best mommy you ever had and take good care of you.

(Y/N)-B-But I already have a mommy. I need to get home! Why can't we leave?!

(Toriel's POV)

I hid one hand behind my back and gripped it in anger with small flames of magic coming out. I used my other hand to gently cup his cheek to comfort him when he looked scared and confused, just as I expected.

Toriel-I promise. Everything will be alright... I put some new toys in your toy chest, so play with those until I come back to get you for dinner.

I started to walk out of his room and he only begged and pleaded for me to 'take him home' when he was already home... HE JUST WANTED TO GO BACK TO THAT FILTHY CREATURE THAT NEVER DESERVED SUCH A BUNDLE OF JOY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!... He just needs to learn that I am his mother now. When I closed his door and locked it, I went out or a walk to try and calm down.

(No POV)

Toriel tried to hold in her frustrations until they made it to a room where (Y/N) could not hear her, but that didn't stop other monsters from seeing her look a bit unstable. She only made it to the last room before fire oozed off her. The monsters now feared her with all of their beings and stayed away or ran away. Any that had the idea to sneak into her house to be with the human little boy while she was out, quickly stomped on that idea when they heard her from across the hall and saw fireballs flying out into the hall.

Toriel's mind-If I ever see 'you' here. I WILL THROW YOU TO THE WOLVES BEFORE (Y/N) KNOWS ABOUT ANYTHING!!!... I WILL NOT BE ALONE ANYMORE!!!

((Y/N)'s POV)

I tried to open the door, but she locked me in. I tried calling out for help to get someone to open the door,... but nobody came.

(Y/N)-HELP!!!

But nobody came.

(Y/N)-SOMEBODY LET ME OUT!!! I WANNA GO HOME!!!

I started to cry, but then I heard a click at the door before it opened. I thought it was Toriel, but it was a few different monsters. Some were frogs, those flying ghost things, a carrot with a face, and something that looked like jello.

Frog-Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit. (Awwwww, he's so cute.) ~

Bug-U-Um, are yo-yo-you sure about this? T-Toriel is going to be really mad.

Carrot-She doesn't plan on sharing him. She made that clear.

I thought they were here to save me, but they were not here to help me at all. The jello monster spit something out and it was a rope... covered in slime. The frog picked it up and smiled at me.

Frog-Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit, ribbit. (Oh human, come here you.) ~

I backed up more until I hit the wall then tried to make a run for it, but the frog jumped on top of me and wrapped the rope around me before I fell. The other monsters held me still while the frog started to tie me up and I screamed and cried for help again.

(Short Timeskip)

(Toriel's POV)

I made it back home after letting out some steam, but when I did, I spotted a trail of sliming leading into my house, The front door was left wide open and I think I forgot to lock it since I was used to not locking it at all. My heart sank when I ran inside, almost slipping on the trail and it led to my child's room. His door was open and when I looked inside... He was gone.

Toriel-No... No, no, no. Anything, but him... MY CHILD!!! PLEASE< IF YOU HEAR ME SAY SAY SOMETHING!!!

I followed the trail in my room and it circled back out of the door. It was clear to me that they would not let a little human boy go, but rather keep him to themselves.

Toriel's mind-They... stole my child.

Fire started coming off my hands and I walked back outside to follow the trail. I intend to make an example when someone steals my child from me, rather if they are human or a monster.

Toriel's mind-Where did you take my child?... You miserable creatures.
