((Y/N)'s POV)

(Y/N)-Ahhhh.

Mommy gave me another bite of tomato soup with chunks of tomato in it after I finished the grilled cheese she gave me with it. I felt a little better and when I was done with my food my mommy left the tent to go give the dishes back. I took the ice pack and put it on my eye while I went to a mirror in here and almost cried when I thought about Weiss's brother kicking me when I just wanted some help. When my mommy came back in I thought I was going to be in trouble since she didn't want me out of bed right now, but instead, she came over to pick me up and looked a little mad when she took my ice pack off my eye then put it on a table.

Mommy-Sweetie, I told you to stay in bed.

(Y/N)-... I'm sorry.

Mommy-We don't need you hurting yourself more, even if it's an accident.

(Y/N)-Yang took care of me when I got hurt before and let me get out of bed and walk around.

Mommy-This is a camp for bandits and your big sister is strong from my genes, but you don't have those.

(Y/N)-What?

Mommy-Look at you. You have small muscles, baby-soft skin, no aura, and I can already tell that you wouldn't hurt anyone even if your life depended on it. You have to be protected.

(Y/N)-Ruby and Yang said I was strong.

Mommy-Well, we'll talk about that another day. Right now, it's nap time and when we wake up, you're going to tell mommy who hit you. Ok?

(Y/N)-Ok... Are you going to yell at them a lot?

Mommy-... Yes.

She lied in her bed with me on top of her and she pulled a blanket over us while I was getting her chest just right for me to sleep on. She rubbed my head and back slowly until I fell asleep on top of her.

(Clover's POV)

The General was dead, his right hand won't respond to us or take his place, Elm and Harriet have gone dark now, and Vine, Marrow, and I are in a meeting with other high-ranking soldiers. We had to maintain things and not cause a panic with the death of General Ironwood, but someone had to take his place and if Winter refuses to do it then that just leaves me with my rank. Just as we got through with the small meeting I headed over to the head office in Atlas and tried to see if the general left anything behind, but instead, I ran into a familiar face at the door of the office.

Clover-... Robyn.

Robyn-Clover.

Clover-I take it you're here to pay respects to the General, right?

Robyn-It was a shame what happened to him, but that's not why I'm here. I want to talk about your team.

Clover-I'm afraid we're all very busy. You know how it is right now.

Robyn-What I know is that some people claimed that two of your team members were seen taking a child into custody, then a hotel, and then lost him... Care to explain what the Ace Ops were doing with a kid?

Clover-That's classified.

Robyn looked suspicious of me, but then walked up to me.

Robyn-My team and I thought that your actions under the general looked suspicious and I remember at one point equipment was taken to be shipped somewhere... You know, the kind of things to set up a perimeter for a camp.

Clover-Those details were not even given to me, but I'm sure the general had his reasons.

She just gave me one last look before she walked past me to leave.

(Robyn's POV)

Some actions of the military looked shady and now they just take a kid and his sisters off the street at the park for interrogation. I know the military sometimes does more harm than good, but kidnapping a child and losing them like that is something I'm not going to let slide. I headed back to Mantle and during the ride, I got a call from May, so I answered it.

Robyn-Anything?

May-We're at a dead end. No suspects are made publicly known for the General's murder, and the military is basically going to basic protocols. No leads on the kid either.

Robyn-Ignore the military for now. Try to find other sources and I'll be there soon.

May-Got it.

I hung up and took some time to think about this. What would the military want to do with that kid, what makes him so special? Regardless he has a family to get back to and I won't let any soldiers stop me. When I made it back to the hideout I saw only May was here.

Robyn-Where are the others?

May-Out on a food run. Fiona was insistent on that one restaurant that makes the salad how she likes it. She knows your order.

Robyn-Ok... Anything new yet?

May-Not since the call. It would help if I could access cameras, but I can't get in.

Robyn-Well Atlas military isn't the only protection around here. That one scientist that likes to be down here probably helped, so maybe we can go to him.

May-Fiona already tried, but he said the details were classified. He was sorry for what it was worth.

I held rubbed my head a little after hearing an Atlas soldier and staff's favorite line to where it felt like it was their slogan. I thought about something that might work.

Robyn-Hey, that old scientist is on this case, right?

May-Yeah, so?

Robyn-I bet the Protector of Mantle, Penny is on the job too. She must have a signal we can piggyback on since he can keep in touch with her wirelessly.

May looked impressed before she got to work and she wasn't the best at tech, but hopefully, she can get things going. This way we can have a lead and keep track of where she's been.

May-I got it... I need a password.

Robyn-What do you think he would put?

May-Um... Penny1?

The password was incorrect and there was no way he would make his password so simple... Maybe his field of study and what he does down here.

Robyn-Try "enhancement" and put his age.

She did what I said and just like that, we were in and I felt pretty proud of myself and went to get some water.

Robyn-Keep an eye on Penny's location and let me know when she's in Atlas.

May-Um Robyn, she's not in Atlas or Mantle... She's flying over the ocean right now.

Robyn-Huh?

I walked over to the computer and saw that she was right and this was too weird since they would not let her leave here without a very good reason... This has to do something with the kid, I'm sure.

May-What do we do now?

Robyn-... Follow her. Gear up and I'll call the others to meet us at the airport. We go with the public and don't make a noise while leaving or Clover and his team will be on to us.

(No POV)

Penny is zooming across the ocean to follow where her tag was on her little brother. Her object is to still secure her little brother and bring him to a place where there were no military personnel. As for (Y/N)...

(Timeskip To Dawn)

((Y/N)'s POV)

I felt my back being rubbed and it felt so good when the nails were scratching me just right. I let out a little yawn before I looked up to see my mommy and she gave me a little kiss on my nose.

I got a little drink of milk from her before she wiped my mouth for me then pulled up her shirt and sat up with me.

Mommy-Don't you feel so much better? Your bruise is already almost gone. ~

I felt my eye and my whole face and it didn't even hurt anymore with soft touches.

Mommy-Now that we snuggled, ate, and napped... Tell mommy what happened before I opened that portal.

(Y/N)-Ok.

I told her what happened as best as I could for the import parts instead of everything. I went on about Atlas soldiers were mean except for Elm and Harriet a little then told her what happened at Weiss's house, but the ending almost made me cry again, so she stopped me for a bit and looked mad about what happened.

Mommy-You're almost there honey. Keep the story going.

(Y/N)-*Sniffle* W-We were having a picnic o-outside wh-when Whitley came out a-a-and he was mad at me. Penny showed up and wanted me, but Weiss and W-Winter fought her and when I w-was scared I just g-grabbed his leg a-and he kicked me!

I was done so I snuggled into her chest and cried into her a little, but not as much as before. She looked really mad and held me tightly for a bit until I calmed down. She pulled me out from her a little and made me look at her.

Mommy-I'm so sorry he did that to you, but... You're grounded.

(Y/N)-Wh-What?

Mommy-Do you know how many times you should have said mama bird for me to come get you? You should have said it when that man walked up on you at the park in the first place.

(Y/N)-But-.

Mommy-Wanting to bring your sisters here is one thing, but letting yourself be in danger and scared is something I will not have. No leaving this bed without my permission for 2 months and if I find out you even set the tip of your toe on a grain of dirt otherwise, you're in 'big' trouble. Do you understand me?

She looked serious and I nodded my head to her while trying not to cry from getting in trouble then she made me lay down in bed while she got out of bed.

Mommy-I'm going to have a little talk with that boy and then your sisters about watching you. Vernal will be watching you and will know you are in trouble. She'll be in charge of you until I get back.

(Y/N)-... If you're still gone late at night, can she cuddle in bed with me?

(Raven's POV)

He was already on the verge of tears from me grounding him which made his puppy eyes something that even I couldn't say no to.

Raven-Yes, but only if you're good.

He still looked sad when I left my tent then I went to where Vernal was and she was sitting alone and sharpening her weapons. I explained what happened and where I was going to talk to my daughter and decapitate that boy that hurt my baby as well as looking for the other soldiers that laid a finger on my baby.

The soldiers will have to be dealt with on another day and I need to get rid of that boy without being a scene since the General will know it's me and might find new motivation to track me down.

Vernal-So the kid just has to stay in bed?

Raven-Let him walk around when going to take a bath shortly after I leave and feed him one more time before bed.

Vernal-Got it. I'll just knock his bath out of the way now.

She just walked to my tent then just opened the portal and about to give Yang a nice 'talk'.

((Y/N)'s POV)

Vernal just walked into the tent and I was still on the bed being good then she sat on the side of my bed. She rubbed my cheek a little, but gave me a serious look.

Vernal-I heard you've been bad and got grounded by mommy.

(Y/N)-I didn't mean-.

Vernal-You don't have to explain it. You just need to listen to me and right now, we're gonna go give you a bath and stretch your legs a little. Ok?

I just nodded my head a little then she got some stuff for the bath before she took my hand and led me out of the tent to the lake to get a bath. On the way, she told me we were going to cuddle in bed before dinner, but no talking for me and I just had to nod my head yes because mommy left her in charge.

(No POV)

While Vernal left the camp to go give (Y/N) a bath some tribe members saw a green light in the night sky heading right for them. They didn't know what it was, but got their weapons ready, and then...

*BOOM*

A crater and dust cloud were formed and they saw a figure walk out of the dust and when the sunlight no longer touched her body and it became darker, they could see her eyes glowing green and flickering red.

Just then a kid ran behind her and tried to hit the back of her legs with a stick to knock her down, but that didn't even phase Penny... Her eyes just turned solid red.

Penny-Very well then... I will be taking him by force.
