(Cream's POV)

I woke up after an hour-long nap to see that the others were still asleep, but I didn't want to get up since (Y/N) was sleeping right next to me. I just watched him and he just looked so cute and peaceful then I wondered if this is how my mom felt when I was a baby. While he was sleeping he stirred a little and touched me then I took this chance to slide under his arm and he just felt so warm. I pulled him a little closer to me and away from my mom, but then I noticed her arm was wrapped around his belly, so I tried to move it, only for her to hold him tighter.

Cream mind-Mom... Just give him to me! I saw him first!

It took a while, but I finally got her to let go while she was asleep still and reached behind him to scratch his back to make him give me small reactions. There were just so cute and fun to watch while he slept, but it ended when we heard a knock on the door and it woke everyone up. When (Y/N) saw what I was doing, he just got up and off the blanket while my mom stretched, gave him a small kiss then went to answer the door, but now I was kinda mad at who ever knocked on the door. When my mom opened the door I saw it was one of the high up people in the resistance.

I quickly hid (Y/N) by taking him to my room before she could see more into our home then closed my door. I know Sally and the others are looking for him, but we just got him back.

Cream's mind-Please, just go find someone else in his world or something. I had him first!

(Julie's POV)

I saw Vanilla looked a little groggy and her fur in some places, so maybe she just woke up from a nap. I peaked behind her leg to see there was a make shift bed on the floor that looked big, but I didn't see her daughter or Cheese there. You would think she would go lay in her bed for a nap unless her daughter just left to her room or something... I'm over thinking this, I just need to do what I came to do.

Julie-Hey, sorry for waking you up, but I just have to ask a few questions about the kid being missing. First off, did you see anything strange lately or that bat lady known as "Rouge".

Vanilla-Oh... Um... I'm sorry, but I have not. I thought we suspected Dr. Eggman.

Julie-We had Tails take Sonic and knuckles with him to scout the area.

Vanilla-Oh, is that dangerous though?

Julie-We're talking about Sonic. He loves the danger and those 3 can handle a simple scout mission. Tails scans the inside for heat signatures and if more than Eggman is spotted Sonic and Knuckles go in. Simple.

Vanilla-Oh, I wish them luck them.

Julie-Mind if we take this inside for the other questions?

Vanilla-Oh, um... I prefer if we do this out here. My daughter is just feeling a little under the weather right now.

She had a look on her face with a smile that was too big and her slight pause was also suspicious. Thanks to my special training before joining the resistance I can pick up on these things. I asked the questions I was forced to ask while making up a few of my own to see if I can catch her in a lie or something. It could be nothing, but at the same time, she could be hiding something and I don't expect it to be anything too bad given her gentle, kind, and motherly nature to everyone. When I made it to my third made up question...

Julie-Now if we needed you to come in for a bit to help with a search, would you be ok if we brought over a doctor to treat Cream? Even if it is just a cold having a professional treat her while you help us sounds pretty good.

Vanilla-I see, but my daughter will worry more if I left right now. You know how a child her age can be attached and dependent to their parents at times like these.

I remember 4 months ago Cream was hospitalized from a mist that Eggman sicked on us and she stayed an extra 2 days while her mother helped others and never saw her once in those days because when her mother was done for the day, she would already be asleep. She was fine with us and Cheese by her side, but I can't call her out just yet... I'll observe for a bit.

Julie-I get it. Tell her to get well soon and all that junk.

Vanilla-Goodbye.

I walked away as she went back in her house, so I circled around back to a hiding spot where I could peak in the windows from a distance and used bushed and trees for cover.

Julie's mind-Alright, what are you hiding?

((Y/N)'s POV)

Cream wanted me to play games with her and Cheese after I got changed into some clothes I had over here. We played a few board games she had that I never heard of, but some were almost the same as some back home that I only got to play on a computer or something since Bri never really played with me much. This one was kinda like Sorry, but with dice and it took a while to play, but she ended up winning then we moved on to a card game that was Go Fish and it even had the same name. It was getting stuffy in here a little, so I got up for a bit to open Cream's window, but she suddenly pulled me away from it with Cheese.

(Y/N)-What are you doing?!

Cream-I... I saw a bee and didn't want you to get stung.

(Y/N)-I didn't see it or here buzzing.

Cream-I guess it was my imagination.

She just pulled me back to the ground to get back to our game and I thought that what she did and how she acted was a little weird. Just then there was a knock on the...

(Y/N)'s mind-The window?

We both turned and I saw Julie sitting on the window seal in here and she was looking at me with a serious look in here eyes.

Julie-Having a fun game?

(Y/N)-Julie, what are you doing here and coming through a window?!

Just then the door swung open and we all looked to see Vanilla come in, but just then I was grabbed from behind by Julie.

Vanilla-J-Jullie, I can explain!

Julie-I thought you were hiding something,... but this?

I had no idea what was going on, but Vanilla had a few tears in her eyes like she was in trouble and got caught.

Julie-Having him here with being properly guarded is really dangerous. Just being near him with Eggman or Rouge or both after him puts a target not only on your back, but Cream's too! Why didn't you tell me he was here?!

Vanilla-Please, h-he doesn't need all this drama. He just needs a mother.

Julie-Not to be "that guy", but for all of your safety, he needs to be with others that can protect him in a fight.

Just then Cream grabbed my leg and even started to pull while she was now crying a little bit herself which made Julie look at her.

Cream-Please don't take him! He's going to by my brother and living with me, so you can't have him!

I was surprised to hear her say that, but then I looked at Vanilla to see her looking at the ground, kinda mad.

Vanilla-Julie... Let my son go.

She closed the door behind her and Julie held me tighter as she took a step back and Vanilla took a step closer before she jumped at us. Julie acted fast and jumped back with me while pulling me out of Cream's arms then dashed out the window with me and into the woods. I saw Vanilla, Cream, and Cheese look out the window and there was something about their look on their faces that kinda creeped me out. My heart was beating kinda fast now and I think I saw Cream gritting her teeth while crying, and Vanilla just glaring at us.

(Y/N)'s mind-What the heck just happened?!

(Julie's POV)

I had no idea what has gotten into them since they were the gentlest people I know and now they acted so hostile. I even saw that look in Vanilla's eyes then knew she wasn't thinking straight and was going to do something drastic. As I ran to avoid a fight I felt (Y/N) squirming a little or shift, probably because my metal arm was pressed against his stomach, so I just found a cave to hide in and make sure I wasn't followed by them. When I put him down from over my shoulder he just rubbed his belly a little, so I went up to him to see if it was bad because i did jerk him around a bit in that escape.

Julie-Here, let me see.

He lifted his shirt and it was an imprint of my arm a little next to his rubs, but he'll be just fine. I just looked to check if we were followed and so far there was nothing still. I had to get back to Sally and Blaze, but I don't want to cause a scene because rumors and word can spread fast, so maybe the safe bet will be to wait until dawn and move when it's dark. It would be harder to find us that way while giving the kid a chance to settle down. Speaking of which...

(Y/N)-*Sniffle*.

Julie-Hm?

I looked to see him kinda sad and I was not good at this kind of stuff, but he has been in one situation after another which can take a toll on anyone his age. I got closer to him as he sat back against a wall then I put a hand on his shoulder.

Julie-Hey, you good?

(Y/N)-... Wh-Why do I always make my friends fight?

Julie-What do you mean?

(Y/N)-L-L-Like h-how you and Amy fought Rouge over me, they even fought before, th-they fought back at my home, R-Rouge took me from B-Blaze and Sally, so now they want to fight, and... and... Maybe that robot attack-.

Julie-Hey, none of that is your fault.

(Y/N)-Yes it is. *sniffle*... Maybe coming here was a mistake... I should've stayed with Bri.

I think that was his old nanny that was awful and strict towards him and this was seriously kinda depressing to hear him say something like that. He suddenly leaned on my a little and it did feel kinda weird and mushy, but I allowed it to give him comfort then even sat down to let him lay his head on my lap. He just looked so guilty over everything putting so much pressure on him, poor little guy.

Julie's mind-Alright Julie, you got 2 valid options. Take him back to Sally and Blaze and stay with them to help protect, or take him home for a while to let him calm down and send a message to Sally

(Timeskip)

We were at my home now and I will write a letter as soon as I get him settled in and I even let a few guards know he's here. It was nothing too fancy, but cozy all the same and he just put himself on my couch to curl up. I wrote a quick letter, telling that (Y/N) is with me and is safe, but is under a lot of stress then I gave it to a soldier outside to go deliver it. I got back inside my home and joined (Y/N) on the couch to relax with him as he calmed down.

Julie-Need anything? Water, food?

(Y/N)-I'm fine.

Julie-Maybe a nap will help you sleep this off. I'll be here.

It took a bit before he gave into the idea and I was gonna take him to my bed, but before I could talk, he rested his head on my lap. Normally I wouldn't do this since I wasn't a fan of all that mushy and soft stuff with Knuckles being the only exception, but nobody was around and he needed this.

Julie's mind-Maybe just for his nap. I'll wake him up in an hour or 2.

(Timeskip 4 Hours)

(No POV)

As the 2 were napping on the couch Julie was laying on top of him where she was the most comfy by unintentionally spooning him, but now Sally and blaze finally got the letter and news from Julie's letter and headed for her house immediately. Meanwhile Wave was pretty upset that (Y/N) suddenly went missing and was searching nonstop in places he might've gone, but no luck... Who will get to him first?

Blaze's mind-Thank god you're alright! I'll make sure that you won't leave our sights again!

Sally's mind-When we get back to my home, i'll make sure security is tripled everywhere! Nobody gets close without me knowing either!

Wave's mind-When I find you, you are in so much trouble for making me this worked up!
