(Rouge's POV)

It took some time, but now my baby was clean enough for my liking and laying in my bed as I tucked him in while I went to get some food and water for him. I kept my eyes on him as I walked down the hall and blew him a kiss at the corner and saw him blush from why over here. I chuckled a little from how cute it was before I made it into the kitchen and I think a sandwich or even something hot would do just fine and that's when I picked something to cook for the both of us to eat. Of course, i'll be feeding him. When I got the ingredients and started cooking I heard a noise in my room and I wasn't taking any chances, so I ran to see what was going on and I saw (Y/N) wasn't in my bed anymore as I was coming down the hall, but when I got into my room I saw him on the ground just playing with one of the solid gold puzzle cubes that I have.

Rouge-What are you doing?

(Y/N)-I just got bored and saw this toy on a shelf.

Rouge-*Sigh* Just come in the living room and I have something else you can play with. I use it when I get bored and it helps.

I took him with me and put him on the couch where I can see him and gave him a sparkling ribbon I had when I was little and still use it to perform dances to woo over gullible people. I did a little dance for (Y/N) and he seemed to like it that when I gave it to him, he tried to copy me, but he wasn't as flexible. It was cute to watch as I went back to cooking and when I put the food in the oven I went to sit down and watch him dance while I waited for the timer to go off. He almost hurt himself once, so I got him to stop and just cuddle with me on the couch and I had his head on my chest as I was laying down where I can easily pet him.

(Y/N)-Rouge, can we go see Amy and Cheese later. Just so they know i'm-.

Rouge-They know that you are just fine sweetie. You just need to relax and our dinner should be done soon and I think you're going to love it.~

I was so mad when he brought up those too when he practically said that I wasn't enough for him. I thought about spanking him, but that would make him scared of me and he's easy to manipulate anyway. I mean, we got him to come to a whole new world rather than be at his old home. When the timer went off I carried (Y/N) over to the table and put him in a chair before I got some oven mitts and pulled it out of the oven then let it cool off, but I caught (Y/N) eyeballing it.

I'll wait a few minutes before I cut it and just got a glass of water for him and some wine for me and I even teased him a little to make him blush for me. I didn't even let him look away from me which made him blush harder before I thought it was time to cut the pizza.

((Y/N)'s POV)

During dinner at first I got to sit in my own chair until Rouge finished her wine like Bri used to drink and she was feeding me her home-made pizza. I wanted to feed myself, but I guess she might still be calming down from when I scared her from suddenly being gone. She even gave me kisses after almost every bite before we heard something.

Rouge-Just ignore that honey. Say ahh.~

I took another bite while still looking at the door and while I was still chewing...

Rouge-Ugh, wait here.

She got up then put me back on the chair and I took another bite by myself since I was still a little hungry, but then I soon turned to see her whispering at the door. I tried to hear her without getting out of my chair and I did hear this.

???-Last chance to let us in and make this easy. *In the distance*

Rouge-You really wanna do this here with him? *whisper*

Just then the door was kicked open and I saw Amy and Julie come in and I was really scared when I saw her pointing her gun at Rouge.

I was about to try and stop the fighting, but Rouge kicked Amy outside, literally. Julie tried to shoot Rouge, but she kicked the gun out of her hand so fast I barely saw her move then went around a second time.

(Y/N)-Stop! Please!

She didn't listen and kicked Julie out to with Amy before she flew outside and I was so scared that I was crying. I heard the fighting go on outside and I never saw friends fighting like this and I wanted to try and help, but this was all just too much so fast. I just ran while they were all too busy fighting and I have no idea why, but I was running faster than I ever did before and I wasn't getting tired as fast. All of this made me think about the robots attacking again and now I could feel my heart beating faster and it was getting a little harder to breath.

(Y/N)'s mind-Why?! Why are you fighting?!

I ran for I don't even know how long after, but when I made it to a forest I bumped into someone and fell back which would make me cry, but I ran out of tears. Just then...

???-Oh dear. Are you ok?

I looked up to see who it was while I was still whimper and even started to hiccup now which hurt my chest then I saw someone I never saw before. Not even at the rally thing with Sally and the others.

(Cosmo's POV)

I helped a few animals in need on my way here and it took me a moment, but I remember that this was the being I saw with that bat. This child was clearly in distress, so I knelt down to help him calm down by thinking about what happened before when that tear fell on me. The fear in the child's now pink and puffy eyes from crying might be from an abuse since I saw him with who might've been his owner last. When I pet the poor thing, it clearly saw me, yet flinched at my touch the first time then I pulled them into me to have them rest their head on my lap.

Cosmo-It's ok now little one. You're safe now.~

I rubbed his chest a little and his heart was beating so fast, we heard an explosion or something off in the distance which made him jump a little, and next a bird fly by in the trees which spooked him too. Poor thing was on edge and maybe even mere inches away from having a panic attack. He probably can't even think straight then he even tried to crawl away from me. He wasn't very fast and from how he was crawling with his knees on the ground...

Cosmo's mind-Oh, is he one of those people that love to be pets too?... I guess he doesn't have a good owner.

I hate seeing innocent beings this troubled, especially the younger ones because I believe that if all beings were treated with proper love and care then there will be far less problems and more solutions. If this poor creature was treated poorly and wants to be the very thing i'm looking for then we can both benefit from this.

Cosmo-Wait, please don't be scared!

I got up and easily caught up to him and picked him up a little since he was a little heavy for me before I sat back down and held him a little tighter for him to start struggling a little before he calmed down. I was about to ask him for his name, but I realized he wasn't calming down... he was passing out. I still felt his pulse and knew he was still alive, but I had to get him out of here, so I did my best to carry him.

Cosmo's mind-It's going to be ok little one. I'll be a better owner to you.

Later I looked out into the wilderness from a cliff and found a place with a warm beam of sunlight hitting it, there was a pond, and bursting with life, so I jumped off the cliff and my skirt opened up to gently float us down there. When I landed, I quickly made the ground grow a nice flower bed to put my new pet in to help him feel cozy and smell pretty. I thought maybe it would be fun to nap with him as well, so I just laid down with him to hold him close and he felt so soft as we cuddled, and I closed my eyes.

Cosmo's mind-This already feels so much better!~

(???'s POV)

I was being brought to one of Eggman's bases in an offer for a job, but I just don't know what it is yet. Right now I was being brief by the doctor himself in person and for some reason there was another being like him that I was to capture and bring to him to make the resistance come to him. I told him i'm going to need a picture in case there was more to this job which would lead to a bigger price for it, so he showed me a picture that one of his robots caught and this mere child was almost nothing like this fat, bald, tub of lard.

Eggman-That's it for the briefing. I want you because your equipment can even rival the speed of Sonic. I can't get close without attracting too much attention to make a getaway, so you will be perfect for the job.

???-We still didn't talk about my payment.

Eggman-Yes, I believe this would help persuade you.

He pressed a button and it opened a hatch to bring up a sack full of rings, gold coins, and jewels. I did love the sight of it, but I thought it over for a second to wonder if he would keep his end of the deal...

???-Half now, then the other half after.

Eggman-Hehehe, you drive a hard bargain, but deal. Take half and go!

I did just that and when the door closed I saw my reflection in the doors as I was going down.

Wave's mind-No hard feeling kid. It's just business.

I won't hand him over anyway unless he gives me the other half first and if he decides to not pay me then I will give him to the very resistance he was trying to lure into a trap and even warn them. Dr. Eggman must know this himself and unless he wants his plan to fall apart, he better give me what i'm owed. When I left the base I just hopped on my hoverboard and sped off to start my hunt.
