The first adventure will likely end up being the "evil church" scenario. If you haven't been following along (or haven't read between the lines), I'm creating a fantastic version of the Massachusetts Bay Colony circa 1650, right around the time of the Salem witch trials. The proxy for the Puritans is the Church of Celestial Grace, whose leaders are called Shepherds of Yehozael. I've used our friend "Chad" GPT to generate five plot ideas. Pick the one you think is the coolest. Voting ends later today.

The Witches' Revolt

The Church of Celestial Grace, led by the Shepherds of Yehozael, intensifies their persecution of alleged witches in New Sanctaria. Intent on using its dark power to strengthen their dominion over the town, they dispatch the adventurers to retrieve the tome. However, the grimoire's malevolent presence begins to corrupt the Shepherds, turning them into ruthless zealots. The players must decide whether to obey or defy the Church's orders and prevent the dark magic from falling into the wrong hands.

The Curse of the Unholy Altar

The Shepherds of Yehozael stumble upon an unholy altar hidden within the heart of New Sanctaria. Desperate to harness its dark power, they initiate a sinister ritual to unleash a malevolent entity upon the town. The adventurers learn of this wicked plot and must race against time to stop the ritual before it brings doom and destruction to New Sanctaria. The players must confront the Shepherds and their fanatical followers, who are willing to sacrifice anything to fulfill their twisted vision.

The Prophecy of Damnation

The Church of Celestial Grace uncovers a prophecy foretelling the arrival of a malevolent deity that will bring about the end of days. Believing themselves to be the chosen ones to usher in this deity's arrival, the Shepherds of Yehozael enact a series of dark rituals to hasten its coming. The adventurers must thwart their apocalyptic plans, facing off against the Shepherds and their unholy minions to prevent the prophecy from becoming a terrifying reality.

The Haunting of the Shepherd's Sanctuary

Strange and unsettling occurrences plague the Church's grand sanctuary, with whispers of an ancient curse haunting its halls. The Shepherds of Yehozael refuse to abandon their holy grounds, instead embracing the malevolent entity within. The players must delve into the sinister secrets of the sanctuary and confront the corrupted Shepherds as they seek to liberate the Church from the grips of the malevolent force and restore peace to New Sanctaria.

Man, tough choices. Finally settled on the The Witches' Revolt. There are few adventures IMO that make the party pick the lesser of two evils. Great moral dilemma.

Oh this is gonna be good overall dealio all of these options are dark & killer. Why do I want a dark af mix of the first two options...the players get the grimoire....instead of listening to the church....they approach the witches to join forces ridding the city of the church be like harry potter he who shall not be named taking over
