Here's an upcoming preview for the Helkara books that are on the way. The first is already drafted and is now in proofing. #2 I'll start writing soon (finishing up GMSG today with some things the editor needs). Then #3 will come after that. And so on.

The Alchemist's Army

Release Date: Mid-April 2023

Retail Price: $19.00

This collection features four one-shot adventures that can be played separately or as part of a larger story. Requires use of the Fifth Edition core rulebooks.

The Mutated Menace. The characters are tasked with investigating a series of strange animal attacks near a remote village. The culprit turns out to be a pack of mutated goblin beasts.

The Lost Warhammer. A local blacksmith has lost her prized warhammer and needs the characters to retrieve it from a nearby goblin lair.

The Storm-Tossed Journey. The characters are hired by a wealthy merchant to escort a valuable shipment of goods through a dangerous mountain pass, only to discover that the road is being controlled by a powerful monster.

The Alchemist's Army. The characters are asked to investigate a strange tower that has appeared on the outskirts of town. The tower is home to a mad alchemist who is using powerful magic to create strange mutated creatures.

Book Design

These books are a little more streamlined than BroadSword, so they're easier to produce. Each one is about 64 pages long, black and white, and set up in near-A5 format (actual dimensions will be 7.44" x 9.69"), so a little smaller than BroadSword. 

The monster book will be 72 pages and color.

Likely we'll offer bundle deals, pre-order deals, and discounts for patrons. PDFs will be available at similar tiers to what foundry packs, etc., are now, likely starting at the $25/month tier (which I think is now called High Priest). Gold will get a month's worth before they get locked up, platinum will get 2-3 months, and so on.

Keeping in mind you get 3-4 books per month, that's a pretty nifty deal!

Dungeons & Lairs in Print

Not only will Helkara see print, but Dungeons & Lairs will start getting print versions, too. They'll be full color and 72 pages like the monster books and priced around the $25 point. The first one will be our upcoming Greek monsters series.

These five books will cover the basics of Helkara. Hopefully, too, you've had a chance to read the draft of the first book and have a better sense of what to expect with Helkara. With that said, which of the following expansion books do you want to see next?
