This is the most stressful poll you'll do all year.

Below, I've picked 16 iconic monsters from the 5e Monster Manual. Vote for the one that you want to stay. It will become part of Helkara's mythology.

The rest are gone! Forever! Muahaha...

I look forward to the results.

I picked Angels, now, wait, hear me out. I know this will be an unpopular choice. But what if the Sorcerer-Kings that caused the Cataclysm accidentally ticked off a LG deity from some other plane and that deity sent an army of avenging angels into Helkara to cleanse the evil that it found there? Angels would not be happy friendly things in helkara, they would be agents of vengeance ready to smite unsuspecting carefree murder hobos.

Dave... this is brutal. Most of these could fit into the MB style with a bit of gritty tweaking. Also, which is suited best for a frozen Noth pole? What lurks under the frozen waters that make getting to the free city so dangerous? Brutal. Lol

You don’t really need the distinction between devils and demons. If you have 1 why do you need the other? Unless you’re trying to imitate the WOTC Blood War, have 1 type of infernal denizen.

angels can be demons...or bugbears...or vampires...and sphinxes....or any form they get twisted into. Maybe they start out as neutral light beings and warp after that depending on the forces that shape them

A shape changing curse infuses the world. Transmutation at its finest. Deadly, powerful, horrible, used for good and ill alike. I could see not only civilizations/cultures based on the various permutations, but an entire parallel magic/alchemy system operating on the fundamental powers which cause this to be prevalent in Helkara.

Vampires... just don't make the sparkle in the sun... PLEASE?

This is the first time one of these polls seems to be going my way. I don’t want to live in a fantasy world without Goblins.

No dragons? Harsh

I figure Game of Thrones, D&D, and LotR have dragons pretty covered. ;)
