Hey everyone,

The last two Kickstarter projects are in a good state right now. Hand of the Eight/Pexia are printing with final samples on the way, and Gamemaster's Survival Guide is completely written save for a few articles I'm tossing in for fun.

Now, it's time for me to start thinking about my next major project: Horror.

What is horror?

Horror is a roleplaying game of terror and fear. Within the pages of the forthcoming core rulebook, you'll find everything you need to create your own character and embark on a journey through a world filled with supernatural horrors and malevolent forces.

In this game, you'll take on the role of a character struggling to survive in a world where the line between reality and nightmare is blurred. You'll encounter all manner of terrifying creatures and situations, and it will be up to you and your fellow players to use your wits, your courage, and your resources to stay alive.

We hope to launch in mid-March on Kickstarter.

It's time to start planning artwork!

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I need YOUR help coming up with some artwork. I plan to have it all be super high-contrast, grotey black/white pen-ink style artwork (think Junji Ito).

Since we're using non-AI generated artwork for this project, we need to start planning far in advance so we can have plenty ready by the time it comes out.

Give me some art prompts!

In the comments below, give me a 4-5 word sentence explaining something crazy, dark, and disturbing. No taboo subjects (if you have to ask, it's probably taboo), but feel free to go for violent monsters, weird Lovecraftian horror, people losing their minds, masked killers, etc.

A few rules:

  • 1) One suggestion per patron.
  • 2) No proper names.
  • 3) Stay away from taboo subjects (you should know what I mean)
  • 4) Keep it between 4-5 words

I look forward to seeing your responses.

Please Google "2-sentence horror stories". A lot of great psychological stuff to mess with your mind!

I highly recommend Leon Gravheim @sleepmaskcomics on Instagram for art for this project.
