Santa’s Village is a Fifth Edition plug-in adventure for four characters with an average party level (APL) of 11, 14, 17, or 20. This document offers a general guideline on scaling the adventure for each level. After receiving stockings full of coal, a group of naughty murderhoboes (the characters) raid Santa’s village. Unfortunately for them, the jolly, old elf is ready for them

Edit: Files updated. If you previously downloaded and installed the FoundryVTT pack, you'll need to remove it and reinstall it for the updates. Sorry for the boo-boo

I love the art in the tokens.

dmdave

Unfortunately, we won't be using that style anymore since it's AI and AI has become something of a no-no. At least until they figure out a way to compensate artists.

Brbmonkeytime

Fascinating to learn. Is the AI doing like copyright no-nos or somethin?

dmdave

Yeah, it's a pretty hot-button issue right now. I have my own thoughts, but out of respect for friends of mine in the community, I think it's best we just abstain for now.

Hello, can't install in foundry, it's only me ? Help please

BobTheTree

Howdy! What seems to be the issue? Have you installed the manifest URL on your Foundry's Add-On page? Once you do that, launch a world, go to Settings > Manage Modules > Select DMDave - Santa Village > Save Modules. We are now using the Foundry Adventure packager, so you will no longer receive a pop-up right after selecting the module. However, go to your Compediums and find the Adventure section. You can click on Santa's Village Adventure folder, select the adventure from the Pop-up, then the Import screen will appear.

BobTheTree

Hey folks! Just posting here in case there's confusion on the new adventure packaging that we are using. There will no longer be an automatic pop-up like previous modules. Use the steps below to get the module installed in your world! Install the manifest URL on your Foundry's Add-On page. Once you've done that, launch a world, go to Settings > Manage Modules > Select the DMDave adventure > Save Modules. We are now using the Foundry adventure packager, so you will no longer receive a pop-up right after selecting the module. However, go to your compendiums and find the adventure section. You can click on the adventure folder, select the adventure from the pop-up, then the import screen will appear.

Hello, thanks for the help, I did as you told but still can't install , clicked in the adventure on the compendium and nothing happens

BobTheTree

Strange, you should get a pop up window. Can you try right clicking and seeing if there's an import all option? All I have to do is single click the adventure in the compendium and it opens the popup where I then click the adventure and the import screen appears. I would also uninstall the module completely and reinstall. We found Santa was missing legendary actions and I just fixed them 15 minutes ago. This requires a reinstall if you had it installed before that time.

BobTheTree

I am reaching out the a Foundry dev to see if there is any compatibility issues with the packager and V9. Most folks have already moved up to V10 at this point, and V11 is close to release. I highly recommend you keep updated to at least the a stable release of the current version to avoid compatibility issues with modules.

Thanks Bob, I have my server on orange cloud and I fear if I update I will lost my server, o don't know if I can make it again ...

BobTheTree

Ah so you're cloud hosted. If you have concerns I would reach out to Foundry, their discord is very active. Once v11 releases, and I start using that version, V9 will officially be not supported.

BobTheTree

Sorry for the delay. I reached out to Foundry development and confirmed that V9 is incompatible with the adventure packager. You will have to update if you wish to install the module. You still get the ZIP file so you can build the module yourself, but that can be a pain. I would check their discord or email their support to see if they can offer assistance with getting your cloud hosted world migrated to V10. I would expect at least two more versions in 2023 as well.

Ok , thank you Bob, will try to update the version and manage the server
