Hey all,

Here is the first of 4+ maps featuring tribal warrior lairs. I knew when I did these I didn't want to go with the usual "native American" tribal trope and I wanted to do something different that I personally haven't seen other map makers do. That's why I decided to go with Celtic style Iron Age roundhouses.

These buildings are wattle-and-daub construction with thatch roofs. Unlike Saxon and some Viking domiciles, these aren't pit houses, but are built over the ground on chalk floors. Some Celtic homes use the drystone method for building, but I based these specifically on the ones recreated near Stonehenge. I would have liked to have made more Stone Age style homes, but the asset set I use doesn't have a ton of options for stone-age-style tools and weapons. So early Iron Age seems to work best. Plus, it still works with the tribal warrior, berserker, and druid stat blocks from the Monster Manual.

Anyways, expect the rest of this series to feature more tribal home styles from Iron Age Britain. Enjoy!

This set comes with night and day, gridded and ungridded. One level and the thatch roofs.
