Hey all!

If you haven't been keeping up with my Instagram, I've been writing up tips and tactics for Fifth Edition. I hope to release a large PDF of all of them (plus a few along the way) along with a print version sometime in January.

I figure I'd do a four-part series, each focusing on a different tier of play. These books will cover:

  • Tactics for monsters within the given tier
  • How to run challenges appropriate to the tier
  • Downtime activities appropriate for the tier
  • Other cool stuff that I'll test out on IG before publishing

With which tier should I start?

I've put the four options down below. Pick the one you want to learn how to run the most and I'll start there.

(I'm going to be cool like George Lucas and do them out of order!)

Looking forward to your response!

It's an interesting issue. I play in a large friendship group, and our party is seven people, so gauging the encounters can sometimes be an issue. You want some peril, but not designing the encounters so that they take an hour to complete!

I think the tier order should be 2, 3, 1, 4

2nd tier the PCs are becoming their own, 3rd is where many campaigns end, 1st to really challenge from the start, and 4th to provide an epic end to an epic journey
