Content

Hey folks,

Dungeons & Lairs 24 will be out this weekend. I'll be drafting up new content for release in November. I'm curious what style of adventure that you'd like to see. Below, I've included a few ideas on which you can vote.

  • Anthology. This will be similar to the one I just put out for retro horror prompts 21 Spine-Tingling Tales of Terror. It'll involve a lot of smaller adventure prompts that are only 1-2 pages.
  • Dungeons & Lairs. These are the adventures I put out that usually involve one setting with only 4-5 encounters.
  • Story Adventure. These are the longer adventures—mini-campaigns, I guess you could call them, that take players through a few levels. Queen of Shadows and Speak with Dead are examples of these.
  • Campaign Guidebook. Kinda like Ethereal Plane from last month, or Dark Carnival from a couple months back, these are the ones that have a variety of content geared around a single concept.

How about rescuing a starving settlement on the edge of wilds (that could lead to future adventures) and then have the saved settlers turn on the adventurers?

What about the rest of Uncle Skeleton's?

Probably won’t dig back in until I’m finished writing Pexia which should be end of this week. A funeral and storm damage put me a bit behind schedule, so the shorter stuff is easier to knock out.

I voted for Story Adventure because I would really love to see more things like Shrine of the Emperor of Bones. That is exactly the kind of content that I'm looking for.

SotEB is a bit more like a Dungeons/Lairs than story. Story usually has 3-4 locations and events versus D&L which is one location
