Hi all Patrons!

Here is an update for my 4K texture pack for Luigi's Mansion on the GameCube. This update includes new 4K versions of all the previously updated textures, includes dozens of new textures, and also updates some previous ones from the previous releases. Furthermore, the installation has been simplified and no longer requires almost any manual setup from the user at all. Simply click "Luigi's Mansion HD.exe" and play! Shaders have been added to provide new visual enhancements like Rim Lighting, Ambient Occlusion, Global Illumination, Tesselation, Material Maps and much more. It truly makes the game look better than ever seen before!

Enjoy!

Installation:

Simply extract the .ZIP file somewhere on your computer and start the game using the provided custom version of the Dolphin Emulator (named as "Luigi's Mansion HD.exe"). All settings should be preset to my optimal settings, but you are of course free to tweak them so the game looks however you prefer!

You MUST provide your own .iso ROM file of Luigi's Mansion, it is not distributed here.

Let me know if you experience any bugs or issues!

The 4K version of the texture pack is available to all you Patrons starting today, with a 1080p version available to everyone for free on my website in two weeks from when this post was published!

Like always, beware before downloading it since it's a large file, over 2GB!

Enjoy!

(Only available through the use of an emulator, the texture pack does not work on real GameCube or Wii consoles).

You can find more information about my HD texture pack here.

You can find the download here: Easy Install (1.0.2 2020-08-01 Patreon Release)

I am only able to create things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love!

How I configures this textures on mac???

Dorian Caedmon

I don't have a mac, however dolphin operates the same across the board. Here is a good guide. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-load-custom-textures-on-mac-correct-directory-placement I imagine you can download the patreon build and copy the contents of the "USER" directory over to the directory that guide directs you to

Will this texture pack work with the PAL version of Luigi's Mansion?

hello! Just got the texture pack, I tried using the file but nothing loads. It just opens up the emulator.

What is this?! When I start the game my PC finds a Trojaner/Virus.....

henrikomagnifico

This happens sometimes, Windows 10 thinks the icon in the emulator .exe is a virus. Click "Allow" in the Windows Defender settings and it will start just fine (and no, there is no virus)

Well...I guess I have to trust you on that :P Something different: I followed all the steps for starting Ocarina of Time 3D in 4k up until the point where I have to double-tap to start the game...but then everything just shuts down and nothing happens...? Its the european Version of the game. Also, your 4K file doesn't end with ''.exe'' in my folder...is that important/wrong? EDIT: Nevermind.Fixed it! Turns out, you absolutely have to have a seperate folder for the ROMs and Textures. I put all in one and selecting the folder to run the game therefore didn't work..my bad! Great work with all that stuff btw! <3

If you're uncomfortable using the file you're free to download regular Dolphin 5.0 manually from the Dolphin website as well. But that would require a bit more manual setup on your end. For Ocarina of Time 3D 4K, make sure that "Preload Custom Textures" is disabled in the Graphics Settings and that the game is a .3DS or .CIA file (which can be installed manually in file > install .cia). If that doesn't work, try disabling custom textures in the graphics settings and see if it loads. If not, it might be an issue with the game file itself and you may have to get a new one.

How Can I move textures to my Dolphin or move save/savestates from my Dolption to this Dolphin release with Luigi 4K textures? PS Dolphin should turn on option "Disable dualcore", that causes graphicial glitches on Luigiiface on intro.

Yes you can! Simply copy the "Load" folder in the texture pack directory's "user" folder over to your own Dolphin installation (it is the "Dolphin Emulator" folder in "Documents", by default) in the corresponding location and enable "Load Custom Textures" in the Dolphin Graphics Settings > Advanced tab, and that should do the trick!
