No Daemon wouldn't fight his brother for the throne. Daemon is just wanting his brothers attention and to be valued by him. It isn't even about the throne since Daemon himself admitted to wanting to be named hand of the king. Daemon saw Otto coming, there's no benefits to marrying Allicent Hightower, just the opposite since Coryls has now been insulted. Also, No Allicent had 6 months to tell Rhaenyra about her talks and manipulating her grieving father. Visery only told her this episode not toention their talks, which is 6 months after visiting Rhaenyra's father.

The blood in the opening is actually an accurate family tree of the Targs since the conquest, the nodes that the blood flows into are the various kings and queens and then the children offshoot off them in new rivers of blood, when someone is dead at the point of the intro then that node fills in with blood. This may like GoT not be a static starting sequence :D
