Oh boy, we've been waiting a long time to finally start this show!! Finally we get to come back to this universe and learn more about House Targaryen when they still sat the Iron Throne o.o We're excited to witness Rhaenyra's journey starting with her being named heir to the throne instead of her uncle...not long after her mother got cut open to save a baby that did not live D: Damn....you know you're back to Game of Thrones when the first episode shocks you like that!

The parallels between Aemma giving birth and the battling during the jousting, was showing how Aemma told Rhaenyra that the child bed is their battlefield. Never easy watching that birth scene, Aemma seemed like a lovely queen, wife & mother. To be fair though, Aemma was going to die regardless if she couldn't eventually deliver the baby. There was only a chance to save the baby, not the wife unfortunately but Viserys should have asked her too. Otto to me clearly wasn't looking out for the realm or his daughter by constantly trying to get rid of Daemon. Even suggesting Rhaenyra as heir seemed like a ploy to help him get rid of Daemon who sees through him. Daemon may be ruthless but i believe he truly just wanted to be by his brothers side as hand. I took Daemons side because he was straight up, whereas the hand is scheming and willing to pimp his daughter, having no concern for her happiness or wellbeing (By clear anxiety biting and picking the skin around her nails)

Aemma was pregnant when the great council happened, but that's not when Viscerys came to power as the Old King was still alive then, she's yes about 15 or so I believe
