Watched this one for two reasons. One: I wanted something that had some resemblance to New Years as this video will most likely be up on Youtube around New Years. Two: Because I am very overwhelmed with school work and finals at the moment and so I wanted something short and sweet to watch.

This movie gave me both my wishes! A really great movie that is entertaining, magical at times, and just plain sweet. The chemistry between Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal is off the charts and I was so engaged with their conversations. The fact that both characters were polar opposites made for some really interesting conflicts but also created such a great on screen friendship (and then romance). The ending gave me a lot of goosebumps and of course, the song Auld Lang Syne made me tear up like it always does. No matter how many times that song plays in movies, I will always enjoy it. The music was also really great. Soft and intimate and never overpowering the true hero of the movie, the dialogue. The dialogue felt so natural at times that I thought I was just watching actual conversation!

Anyways, A great New Years and Holiday movie to watch snuggled up in a cozy blanket while eating a salad but with the vinegar on the side.

I’m nowhere near a chick flick guy and I can count on my one hand how many of those movies I’ve watched but I must say, When Harry Met Sally is one of my favorite movies and I can watch it anytime it’s on.
