Mini Review #57: Jawan Extended Cut (2023) (Patreon)

Watched the extended cut as the theatrical version was not available. Had a lot of fun with this movie! Some really epic action with cool framing and imaginative set pieces. There is literally a moment where a man, dressed all in bandages like a mummy, jumps off a cliff with a spear as two lightning bolts ignite behind him in slow motion. If that doesn't sound epic then I don't know what is. While the action is great, I wish the film developed its characters a little bit more as characters that seem very important in the first half of the movie just drop off the face of the Earth in the second half. One especially important character becomes basically an extra in the second half of the movie. The songs were great though and their big budget music video soundscapes and visuals will have you dancing and grooving along with hundreds of back up dancers. A very fun movie for sure!
