It felt so good being back in the world of TNG! I forgot how much I loved the characters, the world, and the flipping sexy Enterprise! I watched this episode in preparation for the DS9 season 2 Maquis two parter and I am very interested to see how this connects to those episodes. I'm assuming they will be about this boarder agreement between the Cardassians and the Federation which I would be super excited to see. So Wesley became a McChicken GOD in this episode. Where did that come from? Maybe it had been set up a lot in TNG but it came as a surprise to me when all of a sudden Wesley could freeze time and explore different planes of existence. Everything I loved about TNG, as well as Star Trek as a whole, was in this episode. The characters were great, the storyline was tense and exciting, and the real world parallels explored with the displacement of Indigenous people was superb and was a great message to send to viewers.

Birthright parts one and two in season six of TNG are also crossover episodes in the DS9 playground. And people have already been mentioning Preemptive Srike (TNG's penultimate episode), another good and very meaningful DS9-y late era TNG episode.

Episode 24 of season 7 "Preemptive Strike" is a good Maquis episode as well. It involves Ro Laren. Journey's End isn't as much about the Maquis if I recall correctly.
