Mini Review #55: Star Trek TOS "Day of the Dove" (Patreon)

A TOS special as I prepare for the DS9 episodes "The Maquis" Parts 1 and 2! I really enjoyed being back in the TOS universe and the charm and energy of the show immediately made me nostalgic for it (well as nostalgic as someone who only watched them half a year ago could be). It was really nice to see the Enterprise, Kirk, Spock, Bones, and every other character again and most of all, the plot was really cool! Having the Klingons on board the Enterprise fighting an endless war against the federation due to some alien that feeds off of anger was a brilliant concept and made for a very entertaining episode. There were some great lighting choices, effects, camera angles, and of course, multiple karate chops of death. What made me most curious about this episode though was why it was important for DS9. My thoughts think that Kang the Klingon will make a return but it is possible that the Orb alien or something else entirely is important for the Maquis. Well, I guess I'll just have to find out soon!
