Mini Review #31: Star Trek DS9 "Cardassians" + "Melora" (Patreon)

Two GREAT episodes of DS9 today! Cardassians was such an interesting episode revolving around a young Cardassian boy who had been abandoned by the Cardassians on Bajor and was raised by two Bajoran parents to hate his own kind. While the concept was really well executed, my favourite part of the episode had to have been Bashir and Garak as their chemistry and dynamic is just absolutely top class. Everything they do together is so much fun and I can't wait to see Garak make another appearance, hopefully soon!

Melora was another fantastic episode about the importance of dependance as well as independence. I loved Melora's struggle for independence and how Bashir helped her understand that not everyone in the world is looking down on her for her disability. Bashir was so open, kind, and honest in this episode and it made me love his character even more. The romance as well was handled very well and while I think Melora is not going to be in any more episodes, I would be more than happy if she became a mainstay character. Oh also, the Quark subplot is so much fun and there is an amazing Odo Quark interaction!

Besides that, look forward to seeing my bed change constantly in the video as people kept coming and going with new mattresses.
