I forgot how much I liked this movie. This was a big hit in the 80s. Your jokes about the neighbor being a robot were funny because the guy who played Bug did a series of Disney movies where he played a teenage android around the same time. John Candy is also in the original Vacation John Hughes movie that Christmas Vacation is a sequel to. Also he stars in Splash one of Tom Hanks first hits.
