Love that you are a Jerry Goldsmith fan. Remember that the TNG theme was originally composed for the very first Star Trek movie and that it was so appropriate for TNG to use it when the show came out and then for them to use it in the TNG movies! Also, (professional musician and composer here) I believe Goldsmith’s best work was his score for The Secret of NIMH (1982). You should add that film to your watch list if you haven’t already viewed it.
