If you are exploring slightly darker kids movies… one key film… that you didn’t know you needed… is Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events with Jim Carey turned up to eleven on the Jim Carrey controls. You’re pronouncing Bowie correctly. Bow as in ‘bow & arrow’. A lot of his career touched on space. His first hit single Space Oddity was about a character / astronaut Major Tom that was inspired by 2001 A Space Odyssey and the songs release coincided with the first moon landing. For years it would appear Bowie was a one hit wonder until he released the album and new persona Ziggy Stardust an alien who became a rockstar. He would reference Major Tom every ten to fifteen years (roughly) in songs or music videos. I would assume that as a child on up that Bowie would’ve been a part of the Buck Rodgers fans and low budget sci if ufo movies and TV shows as that was the culture of that era. Your shirt design also has the lightning bolt painted on his face from his Aladdin Sane album cover. If you want to go the path of puppetry check out Jim Henson’s The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan those all had theatrical releases and had Jim Henson voicing Kermit and others. No one else could do the voice of Kermit properly after Henson passed away. All are way more fun and more in your style than the Dark Crystal.
